Dan Houser is a writer, director, and producer, known for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002), Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004), Bully (2006), Grand Theft Auto IV (2008), Red Dead Redemption (2010), Max Payne 3 (2012), and Grand Theft Auto V (2013).
Houser is the co-founder and vice president of creativity for Rockstar Games. He also works as the head writer for Rockstar Games. He got his start working for BMG Interactive, where he and his brother Sam Houser took interest in a game titled "Race'n'Chase", developed by DMA Design. The brothers signed the game to BMG Interactive as the publishers and changed the title to "Grand Theft Auto". After BMG Interactive was sold to Take-Two, the brothers moved to New York and founded Rockstar Games together.
