Submarine Entertainment is launching sales at Berlin’s European Film Market on high-profile doc “Milano — The Inside Story of Italian Fashion,” directed by John Maggio (“The Perfect Weapon”).

Billed as the definitive story of the explosion of Italian fashion in the 1970s and 80s, as told by the insiders, the star-studded doc extensively features Giorgio Armani and delves into his life story, but also reveals unknown details about the Gucci and Versace fashion houses. “Milano” also features appearances and commentary by former Gucci creative director Tom Ford, Gianni Versace’s brother Santo Versace and Hollywood stars including Sharon Stone, Samuel L. Italy’s Leone Film Group has closed a deal with journalist Alan Friedman to acquire 50% of the worldwide rights to a new documentary based on his upcoming bioography of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Famed Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, whose sex parties popularised the term 'bunga bunga' in the pop culture zeitgeist, is getting his own documentary and potential TV series.

Leone Film Group has done a deal with American journalist Alan Friedman for the rights to a high-profile documentary about Berlusconi in the works right now, a doco which uses around 28 hours of video interviews with the man himself along with hundreds of hours of other interviews and conversations held over an 18-month period.

That's not just it though, the deal also includes an option to produce a fictionalised TV series based on Friedman's book about Berlusconi's rise from media mogul to Italian Prime Minister.

Friedman's authorised biography "Berlusconi: The Epic Story" hits shelves next month. The director of the doco, currently titled "My Way: Berlusconi in his Own Words," has not yet been disclosed.

Rapt – Oscar nominee Susanne Bier (In a Better World) is teaming up with Smuggler Films to remake this 2009 French thriller that tells the true story of a billionaire who is kidnapped and held for ransom.

Hello Ghost – The Korean comedy Christopher Columbus chose to remake is so obscure, even we had trouble finding it on IMDb. And, its plot about a guy haunted by ghosts had us wondering if that Korean film wasn't already a remake of Heart and Souls.

The Boss of It All – It's hard to believe that the guy who made Dancer in the Dark, Antichrist and Breaking the Waves also makes comedies. But, Lars Von Trier's 2006 film about a guy who creates an imaginary boss for his tech company is more like the "The Office" and the "The IT Crowd," than anything from his Domge 95 Collective. Universal's tapped "Arrested Development"'s Mitch Hurwitz to adapt the film.

Things got significantly less blue around The Weinstein Company yesterday, when the Motion Picture Association of America's Appeals Board overturned the Nc-17 rating the MPAA had previously bestowed upon TWC's "Blue Valentine." From the release reprinted on Deadline.com:

"The Classification and Rating Appeals Board today overturned the Nc-17 rating given to the movie "Blue Valentine." The Classification and Rating Administration (Cara) had assigned the movie the Nc-17 rating for "a scene of explicit sexual content." The La Times is reporting that the MPAA has overturned the rating for the Ryan Gosling-Michelle Williams romantic drama “Blue Valentine,” downgrading the movie from an Nc-17 to an R.

A controversial sex scene that initially landed the film the Nc-17 rating will not be changed.

The decision — which comes as a result of an appeal by distributor the Weinstein Co. — means that the movie can now be released to a broad array of theaters when it opens Dec. 31, and that it can be seen by people under age 17 if they are accompanied by an adult.

The Weinstein Co. cofound Harvey Weinstein and counsel Alan Friedman both presented their case in front of a 14-member board Wednesday. Gosling said last week that he had hoped to attend the appeal hearing but that he wouldn’t be able to make it because of scheduling commitments.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have renewed their wedding vows on Sunday, November 14, Entertainment Tonight reported. The couple made their second trip down the aisle together in a pre-sunset ceremony at a beachfront house in Carpeteria, California.

The actress recently criticized the MPAA for dishing out an Nc-17 rating to the film which stars Ryan Gosling and focuses on a wedded couple going through some serious stuff.

“I’m happy for it to stay just like it is. Genuinely, I am,” Williams told Entertainment Weekly saying that the film shouldn’t be downgraded to an R-rated, “Movies get to have long lives and it’ll be judged and rejudged in 10 or 20 or 30 years, and I’ll be curious to see how it stands.

“It seems like such a condemnation. It feels like such a slap on the hand, like you’ve been a bad kid or something.”
