(April 17 & 18, 1989) He and Marta Kauffman wrote the book and lyrics for the musical, "Arthur, The Musical," in a staged reading at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey. Michael Skloff was composer. Richard Maltby Jr. was director.
Attended Harriton High School in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, and received his bachelor's degree from Brandeis University. He's the son of long-time Philadelphia WCAU/CBS news anchor Gene Crane and wife, Joan Crane.
