Happy Gilmore 2 is a sequel to the 1996 comedy directed by Dennis Dugan. The film follows Happy Gilmore, an unsuccessful ice hockey player who discovers he has a talent for golf. Happy starts competing in golf tournaments to gather enough money to stop the foreclosure of his grandmother’s house.
Netflix greenlit a sequel earlier this year and Sandler hinted that Travis Kelce was going to have a cameo in the new film.

Who’s ready to hit the links with one of the most aggressive golfers in the sport’s cinematic history? Happy Gilmore 2 is officially in production, and there’s no telling what awaits the hockey-goon-turned-pro-golfer. Netflix announced the start of Happy Gilmore 2’s production this afternoon with a photo of Happy’s iconic Boston Bruins jersey alongside other outfits from the film’s wardrobe department.
Kyle Newacheck directs Happy Gilmore 2 from a script by Sandler and his trusty collaborator Tim Herlihy. Sandler also posted the image on Instagram, saying, “It ain’t over. Most actors start with menial roles, often uncredited. Once they have a few jobs under their belts, they choose a path of movies or TV shows.

Update: It looks like Christopher McDonald was right about Adam Sandler working on the script for Happy Gilmore. Sandler’s fave co-star and longtime pal Drew Barrymore confirmed, in a clip from today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, that the sequel is indeed happening. “I want it. I need it. And I stayed up last night with my daughter watching Billy Madison,” says Barrymore, adding later, “I’ll just say this, from my source, that it is in process.”
Barrymore famously starred with Sandler in three movies, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Blended. The two have remained close over the years, with Sandman frequently turning up on her show. While he’s mostly focused on drama recently, including the recent Netflix film Spaceman, Happy Gilmore 2 would likely be warmly received by fans, especially if co-stars Christopher McDonald and Julie Bowen return.

Adam Sandler long ago perfected the art of working with his friends. So what’s next? Now, he’s taking that same approach of working with people he already knows and loves to generate a platform, through his Happy Madison production shingle and streaming giant Netflix, for his own daughters Sunny and Sadie Sandler to shine.
Is it still nepotism if it’s this blatant? Probably — but in an added twist, Sandler’s choice to bolster his daughters comes with a pleasant surprise: it works, and well.
Directed by Sammi Cohen, this new entry in the Sandler-family-business model, “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” is an endearing take on the coming-of-age tween film, with a heavy dose of religion — in the best way. Sunny Sandler stars as Stacy, a sweet 13-year-old who dreams of a blow-out bash bat mitzvah, one heavy on the New York City influences and Lmfao bangers,...

While it was one of the most popular games in the UK during the 1970s and 80s, the cultural significance of bingo varies according to where you are on the globe. In some countries, it was used largely as a teaching tool, and in others, it’s very much associated with certain types of players.
It is these stereotypes and tropes that are often played on when bingo is shown on the silver screen or portrayed in television shows. This has led to some of the best scenes from some of the best-known movies, including:
Cocoon
As a classic of its time, Cocoon followed the story of a retirement community that has been infiltrated by aliens that are giving the residents a new lease on life. The protagonists, Joe, Ben, and Arthur, are swimming in the pool one day when they come across alien lifeforms that harbour the power to rejuvenate themselves.

‘The Out-Laws’ Review: Adam Devine Tangles With Pierce Brosnan In Over-Stuffed Netflix Action Comedy
In 1979, Peter Falk and the late great Alan Arkin made the perfect odd couple in the classic action comedy The In-Laws. It even spawned a not-bad remake with Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks in 2003. The difference between those films, and a bit of an attempt to do something similar in the cleverly titled The Out-Laws, which starts streaming on Netflix today, is that those movies were genuinely funny –particularly the Arkin-Falk teaming. But this one, also a kind of Meet the Parents on steroids, relies far too heavily on nonstop and incessant action scenes to carry us through its 95-minute running time.
The fault here does not lie with its cast, which is pretty impressive overall. Basically this is a comedic vehicle for Adam Devine, who not only stars but also helped develop the Ben Zazove and Evan Turner script as well as producing with Happy Madison’s Adam Sandler and Allen Covert.

Meeting your partner’s parents can be challenging. Regardless of your confidence in your relationship, a wrong move with the parental units can spell disaster for your future. For Adam Devine‘s Owen Browning, he never banked on his fiancee’s parents being accomplished bank robbers. This hurdle is a tricky jump for Owen, a by-the-books bank manager, and all-around goofball. In Netflix‘s The Out-Laws trailer, Owen and his fiancee Parker (Nina Dobrev) discover Parker’s parents are the notorious Ghost Bandits, and they need the couple’s help to get them out of a jam.
Tyler Spindel directs from a script by Evan Turner and Ben Zazove (Sherlock Gnomes). The official synopsis says, “Owen Browning (Adam Devine) is a straight-laced bank manager about to marry the love of his life, Parker (Nina Dobrev). When the infamous Ghost Bandits hold up his bank during his wedding week, he believes...

The only reason Murder Mystery 2 or even its predecessor exists is as a star vehicle in the most literal sense of the word. The recipe is simple: Sign Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, put them in glamorous locations with lots of action and schtick, and then set it loose on a global platform – Netflix – that can easily sell these kinds of recognizable shenanigans in all points of the world. It worked in 2019, and it works again now, only this time with the action and stunts so ramped up they almost overtake the plot, such as it is. The template and characters were firmly established in the original which had our stars caught up in a murder in which they were suspects, but eventually save the day before the entire cast of characters wind up dead in the process.

Buckle in for more exotic locations with Adam Sandler and company. Netflix has just released a first-look clip from the sequel to the Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston comedy Murder Mystery 2. In the new clip, Sandler and Aniston’s characters arrive at a private island where they meet up with their Maharaja friend, played by Adeel Akhtar, and get introduced to his bride-to-be, played by Mélanie Laurent of Inglourious Basterds.
The official synopsis for the film from Netflix reads,
“Four years after solving their first murder mystery, Nick and Audrey Spitz are now full-time detectives struggling to get their private eye agency off the ground when they’re invited to celebrate the wedding of their friend the Maharaja (Adeel Akhtar) on his private island. But trouble follows the Spitzes again when the groom is kidnapped for ransom soon after the festivities begin — making each glamorous guest, family member, and the bride herself a suspect.

On Feb. 13, 1998, New Line unveiled The Wedding Singer in theaters in time for Valentine’s Day audiences. The Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore rom-com went on to earn 123 million globally at the box office. The Hollywood Reporter’s original review is below.
We’ve all heard him, usually at weddings and bar mitzvahs where alcohol often blurs true appreciation of his talents. Song stylist extraordinaire, he has the uncanny ability to make virtually any song, even “In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida,” sound like “Hot Hot Hot.”
Now, thanks to Adam Sandler, he has been finally given his due in The Wedding Singer, a (for the most part) winning romantic comedy that plays off the per former’s sweet, loopy personality. Despite a saggy middle stymied by sappy good intentions, the picture stands as Sandler’s best effort.
Demographically, expect some thing of a trade-off. While all the lovey-dovey stuff might turn off some of his partying young male fans,...

“Home Team,” a Netflix film that stars Kevin James as New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton, has announced its full cast, including new additions Taylor Lautner and Rob Schneider.
Payton revealed that Netflix was making a movie about his life last month, and the film centers on Payton in 2012 when the coach was suspended by NFL commissioner Roger Goddell for the entire 2012 season related to the team’s role in the “Bountygate” scandal, in which the team was accused of paying out bounties or bonuses to players who successfully injured opposing team players. The film shows how Payton began to reassess his life and took a job as the offensive coach for his son Connor’s sixth-grade football team in the Dallas area.

Ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s groundbreaking shared universe strategy revolutionized blockbuster filmmaking over a decade ago, almost every major studio has tried to muscle in on the action. The vast majority have failed, of course, usually at the first hurdle, and the best examples tend to be the ones that nobody ever really talks about.
For instance, Quentin Tarantino has been building his own interconnected mythology for nearly 30 years, and all of his movies feature at least one connection to his previous works. Meanwhile, Adam Sandler recently teased that he’d love to have a cinematic universe of his own one day, and a new theory has now revealed that it actually already exists.

There are very few actors afforded the opportunity to steer the direction of their own careers without making any compromises, and Adam Sandler is one of the names on that exclusive list. His Happy Madison Productions outfit is responsible for the overwhelming majority of his output, and as a result, the 54 year-old essentially has carte blanche to do whatever he wants.
Outside of his rare forays into more dramatic territory, Sandler’s movies generally feature his established roster of supporting players that includes the likes of Kevin James, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Steve Buscemi, Chris Rock, Peter Dante and Allen Covert to name but a small few. Even the crew largely remains the same, with writer Tim Herlihy scripting twelve of the actor’s star vehicles while directors Steven Brill, Dennis Dugan and Frank Coraci are responsible for helming a combined total of eighteen Happy Madison features.

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler reunited for an adorable reenactment of their 2004 classic movie “50 First Dates” on Monday, and let’s just say the last 16 years have made Lucy’s morning videotape a lot harder to comprehend.
The skit, part of Barrymore’s new talk show “The Drew Barrymore Show,” finds the pair right where they left off at the end of the beloved rom-com. Lucy (Barrymore), who has Amnesia, begins every day with a videotape from her husband, Henry (Sandler), explaining everything she needs to know about her life.
But in the year 2020, reality feels suspiciously like a sci-fi movie.
“You have a thing called Amnesia, and I am your husband. We have a daughter, and she’s about 40 now,” Sandler said in the clip. “I know it’s bananas, but I’m not done. It’s 2020, and we’re also in the middle of a pandemic, which is a terrible thing.

The “Lawrence of Arabia” of half-assed Adam Sandler comedies, “Sandy Wexler” is an epic period piece that spans 10 years and 131 minutes of mildly amusing mediocrity before climaxing with a Rob Schneider cameo where he plays a Middle Eastern man in full brownface — it’s awful, and yet it’s almost objectively Sandler’s best movie since “Funny People.”
Of course, quality has never been a very useful metric for measuring Sandler’s work, and that’s especially true now that we’re knee-deep in an eight-picture Netflix deal which guarantees that, for the foreseeable future, we can expect new Sandler films to arrive with all the predictably of seasonal allergies. Once upon a time, he was a cottage industry — now, he’s an assembly line.

By our maths, Adam Sandler now has one more film to go until he’s completed his deal with Netflix for four feature films. So far, we’ve had The Ridiculous Six (not very good) and The Do-Over (not very good). And for his third movie, Sandler has put together Sandy Wexler.

He’s not made this one alone. He’s reunited with The Do-Over director Steven Brill for a start, and he’s co-written the screenplay with Paul Sado and Dan Bulla. In terms of casting,, you’ll find Jennifer Hudson, Rob Schneider, Kevin James, Arsenio Hall Terry Crews and Lamorne Morris picking up paycheques on this one.
