Virginia Marie Cook was born February 10, 1907 in Greenville, Florida
to silent film actress, Estelle Gouldin, and Howard B. Cook. In 1909
the family moved to Los Angeles and in October 1913 Virginia started
school at the Hollywood School for Girls where she attended through her
graduation in 1923. While at the Hollywood School for Girls, one of her
instructors was Edith Head and her classmates included Cecilia de
Mille, Agnes de Mille, Irene Mayer, Valentine Black, Julanne Johnston,
and Jean Harlow. During her career, Virginia worked as a writer for
film, television and radio in collaboration with companies such as MGM,
Paramount Studios, Universal, Banner Productions, Twentieth Century-Fox
Studios. She also worked in advertising for M H Kelso Company, Nesbitt,
and Walter K. Neill. Virginia was represented by the Pat Holmes Agency.
