Abhimanyu Singh is a film actor who has worked in the Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati and Kannada films film industries.
Although Singh was born in Sonpur, Bihar, his family hail from Daudpur in Jehanabad, Bihar. His father was an employee at RBI in Patna, while his mother was a homemaker.
He married his girlfriend Sargam in 2006 and has two children, a son, Zulu, and a daughter, Amelie.
Singh started his acting career with the movie Aks (2001) in 2001. However, his first impactful role was in Anurag Kashyap's movie Gulaal (2009).
In 2010, he played the role of Bukka Reddy in Ram Gopal Varma's Rakhta Charitra (2010), for which he gained much appreciation.
Some of the other notable films that Singh worked in include Lakshya (2004), Dhol (2007), Đấu Tranh Cho Tình Yêu (2013), Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara! (2013) and so on.
Singh made his debut in the Tamil film industry with his role in Velayudham (2011). He debuted in the Telugu film industry with his performance in Rakhta Charitra (2010), which was a bilingual film.
He entered the Gujarati film industry with Premji: Rise of a Warrior (2015), and his first Kannada film was Chakravyuha (2016).
Singh worked in the mythological series Upanishad Ganga (2012), which was nominated in the Best Mythological/Historical Series category at the Indian Telly Awards 2013. It also won the technical awards for Best Dialogues.
Singh has also played multiple roles as a Television actor in serials like Kumkum: Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan (2002), Saara Akaash (2003), and Kkusum: Ek Aam Ladki Ki Kahaani (2001).
