Keeping up with the vast and enchanting world of Harry Potter, fans often come up with whimsical and deliciously intriguing theories surrounding the character and the universe. This time, we’re back with a rather far-fetched theory that seems to weave together two pieces of literature—J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World and Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Well, the theory posits that George Weasley, the beloved twin from the Harry Potter series, is none other than Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka, the eccentric chocolatier from Roald Dahl’s timeless tale. While this theory might seem bizarre at first, it truly holds a hint of chocolatey imagination beneath the surface.

“Harry Potter” actor Bonnie Wright, who played the role of Ginny Weasley in the eight-film Warner Bros. franchise from ages 9 to 19, is ready to pass the Sorting Hat to a new cast for HBO’s upcoming adaptation of the J.K. Rowling novels. But first, she has a few thoughts on storylines from the books she hopes the TV series includes that didn’t make it into the original films, including key moments between Ginny and love interest Harry, originally played by Daniel Radcliffe.
“So many things. More of the development of the relationship between Ginny and Harry,” Wright told Variety during Sunday’s Back to Hogwarts event at New York’s Grand Central Terminal, where she led fans in the symbolic countdown on Sept. 1, the date when Hogwarts students board the train to wizarding school each year in the “Harry Potter” series. “There’s nuanced moments of where they begin to fall in love.

Having twins in the movie business is not something new, even if they are identical. But sometimes fans have no idea that a character they love dearly is a twin in real life. From James and Oliver Phelps from the Harry Potter movies to Rami and Sami Malik – one of whom is an Oscar-winning actor, the other a teacher.

10. Fred & George Weasley by James & Oliver Phelps
Just like they shared everything in life until Fred’s untimely demise, the Weasley twins share the tenth spot on our list. While they didn’t get much screen time, the notorious troublemakers owned every scene they had and provided an infinite strategic stock of joy and laughter for their fellow Hogwarts students and movie fans alike.
9. Neville Longbottom by Matthew David Lewis
The man we like to refer to as “the most unexpected thirst trap in Harry Potter,” Neville Longbottom changed dramatically over the course of eight movies. From a shy and clumsy boy, he became a brave and handsome young man who didn’t flinch in the face of Lord Voldemort’s win and threats and destroyed the most-guarded Horcrux.

Let’s face the harsh truth together, folks: most of us don’t have twin siblings, and worse yet, never will — unless the cloning technology enters the market, that is. We will never experience all the pranks twins can pull on other people and each other, but at least we can have fun learning about them from our loner side of the street.
Weasley Twins Are Still Doing Weasley Things
In the Harry Potter movies, James and Oliver Phelps played Fred and George Weasley, respectively. The Weasley twins were notorious prankers and troublemakers in Hogwarts, and the twin actors have always been just about the same. While the movies ended years ago, Phelps’ own shenanigans didn’t.
James, for instance, finds great pleasure in abusing his and Oliver’s similar looks to force massive hotel debts upon his unsuspecting twin brother when they’re traveling.

The CW will air reruns of Penn & Teller: Fool Us (8-9 pm) and Whose Line Is It Anyway? (9-10 pm) in their place.
Down To Earth and Fantastic Friends are the latest acquired series to be pulled from the CW schedule, following the Australian surfing drama Barons, which was pulled after four episodes in June.
Down To Earth with Zac Efron, acquired from Netflix, experienced a 24% drop in viewers from the first episode to episode 2, and Fantastic Friends had low viewership from the start, dropping from 161K viewers in episode 1 to 158K in episode 2. Seasons 1 and 2 of Down To Earth are still streaming on Netflix.

The CW cut two of its most recent series from broadcast after only airing two episodes of each: “Down to Earth with Zac Efron” and James and Oliver Phelps’ “Fantastic Friends,” TheWrap has confirmed.
Originally, the two shows were supposed to debut on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. throughout the summer. They have since been replaced by encore episodes of “Penn and Teller: Fool Us” and back-to-back episodes of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Remaining episodes of both series are available to stream on the CW app and on cwtv.com.
Neither of the series emerged as big ratings wins for The CW. During its brief time on the air, “Down to Earth” averaged 0.269 million views and earned a 0.04 in the 18 to 49 demo, putting it behind summer series such as “The Chosen,” “Nancy Drew,” “Riverdale” and “Son of a Critch.” “Fantastic Friends” performed even worse, only seeing an average...

The CW is making some last-minute changes to its schedule, which means we have some renew/cancel news.
The network has immediately pulled Down to Earth With Zac Efron and Fantastic Friends from their Tuesday slots.
News of the shows being yanked from the schedule is not entirely surprising:
Down to Earth With Zac Efron touched down on the network's summer slate with just over 300,000 viewers.
A week later, the numbers were down to 232,000 viewers.
Fantastic Friends started with 161,000 viewers and dipped slightly to 158,000 in week two.
While the numbers are not terrible (by CW summer standards), they are notably lower than what The Chosen, Nancy Drew, and Son of a Critch have been doing on the schedule this summer.
The swift cancellations come weeks after the network pulled the Australian drama series Barons from its schedule.

Tributes are pouring in for Robbie Coltrane, the Scottish performer beloved for his roles in film franchises such as “Harry Potter” and “James Bond” and the TV series “Cracker.” It was announced Friday morning that the actor, writer and comedian passed away at age 72.
“Robbie was one of the funniest people I’ve met and used to keep us laughing constantly as kids on the set,” shared Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, Coltrane’s frequent scene partner as Rubeus Hagrid in all eight “Potter” films. “I’ve especially fond memories of him keeping our spirits up on Prisoner of Azkaban, when we were all hiding from the torrential rain for hours in Hagrid’s hut and he was telling stories and cracking jokes to keep morale up.”
His statement continued, “I feel incredibly lucky that I got to meet and work with him and very sad that he’s passed.

When the Harry Potter series cast came together for HBO Max's reunion special, Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts, there were a few notable absences. One of the most noticeable was Julie Walters, who played Molly Weasley throughout the entire film series. As it turns out, her absence in the special is most likely part of her semiretirement from acting.
Walters, already a British acting icon, became the beloved "mom" of a generation as the matriarch of the Weasley family, but that's far from her only claim to fame. She's starred in dozens of movies and TV shows and earned multiple awards (including two Oscar nominations). Her most recent roles include Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, Mary Poppins Returns, and The Secret Garden.
In late 2020, however, Walters told The Times that she had retired from acting after receiving a diagnosis of stage three bowel cancer. She has since undergone...

On Sunday, Jan. 2, Harry Potter actor Oliver Phelps, who played George Weasley in the beloved film franchise, confirmed that the HBO Max special, Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, misidentified him as his twin brother, James Phelps. But there were no hard feelings, as he added, "It was fantastic to be part of the Hp reunion. Hope you all enjoyed it." Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint weren’t yet teenagers when they took on the roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley in the Wizarding World film series led off by director Chris Columbus. They were also all relative newcomers to the screen. As revealed in an early clip from the upcoming “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” on HBO Max, the then-young actors (now all in their 30s) spoke about the price of fame at such an early age — and how they contemplated quitting the film series when it got too close to home. (Via Insider.)
In the one-off special, which is intended to mark the 20th anniversary of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and now also marks the 10th anniversary of the last in the eight-film series, Grint recalls a moment during production when Watson brought up the possibility of quitting.
“You were considering pulling out.

"I wouldn't be the person I am without so many people here." Warner Bros has unveiled a full official trailer for their upcoming Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts streaming special, airing on HBO Max starting January 1st. Cast members from all of the various Harry Potter films (eight in total) reunite in a retrospective special to celebrate the anniversary of the first film, including interviews and cast conversations. This is clearly a promotional stunt designed to bring attention to Harry Potter, because that's right, there's another Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore movie opening in a few months as well.
