Tara Fitzgerald enjoyed "lugging" a dead dog around for her role in new movie 'Portraits of Dangerous Women'.The 57-year-old actress plays Tina in Swiss filmmaker Pascal Bergamin's comedy drama film about three women - school caretaker Tina, unhappy teacher Steph (Jeany Spark) and smart teenager Ashley (Yasmin Monet Prince) - who are thrown together when Steph and Tina both runover a dog in their separate cars.Tara enjoyed shooting the comedy scenes with the prop pooch, assuring any viewers that "no animals were harmed at all in the making of this film".Speaking exclusively to Bang Showbiz, she said: "I really enjoyed lugging this dead dog. No animals were harmed at all in the making of this film, or even used. But I loved that sequence and they’re comic inability to sort of deal with the situation.“Tina, who has actually lived through some pretty heavy things,...

Isn’t it funny how life throws curveballs that shake up everything only to clear the path for something better? Take Taylor Sheridan, for instance. This remarkable storyteller may not have exited Kurt Sutter’s Sons of Anarchy on the best terms, but that twist of fate opened the door to greener pastures—or, more accurately, vast Montana landscapes with a side of high-stakes drama.
Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone | Credit: Paramount
After donning his leather jacket and stepping into the shoes of David Hale on Sons of Anarchy, things took a nosedive. Sheridan’s journey on the show didn’t wrap up with a grand finale; instead, it felt like a bumpy ride through a pothole-ridden road, complete with frustrations over creative differences. Rather than stew in disappointment, Sheridan decided to take the bull by the horns and pivot to writing.

Lana and Lilly Wachowski used to work as a filmmaking duo, bringing us the likes of Bound, The Matrix and its first two sequels, Speed Racer, Cloud Atlas, and Jupiter Ascending, while also scripting the likes of V for Vendetta and Assassins, plus creating the TV series Sense8. In recent years, they have been focusing on separate projects, with Lana making The Matrix Resurrections solo while Lilly has been working on the Showtime series Work in Progress and a movie called Trash Mountain. Now, during an interview with Autostraddle, Lilly has revealed that she has several other projects in the works, including an adaptation of the horror novel Manhunt.
Lilly Wachowski said, “I have my fingers in a lot of different projects. Some of the projects are big, some of the projects are small, but they’re all queer and trans. I’ve just written a script with my partner...

Heartstopper is back for season 3, and my heart is full of butterflies again. The Netflix show has consistently managed to keep a light and fleeting touch to its whirlwind romance with a mix of genuine emotions and issues that plague a teenager. The current season opens with our characters being extremely kind and understanding of each other’s wants and needs. Most of the season, however, is about Charlie dealing with his eating disorder and body dysphoria while everyone else also struggles in some way. The season does feel like it was beating around the same topic again and again, to a point where it started getting repetitive with little to no development in the overall arc of the characters or the show in general. In the following article, I will take a look at everything major that takes place in Season 3 of Heartstopper, including what the ending means. Please...

You could argue that good TV shows have a tougher time than bad ones.
A bad or average show has obvious room for improvement and clear changes that can be made between seasons. A good show has to stay good, maybe even level up to great or superb or other glowing descriptors, and that’s a trickier task.
Netflix’s “Heartstopper” is one such series, a romance created by Alice Oseman and based on her own graphic novels. Over the course of three seasons (so far!), Nick (Kit Connor) Charlie (Joe Locke), and all their friends navigate all kinds of relationships, with an enchanting soundtrack and pops of illustration to immerse the viewer in their world. The series always was and continues to be just wonderful, dwelling comfortably in queer joy and friendship as the characters grow up and prepare to leave school.

Many a horror franchise has been temporarily goosed by an injection of sci-fi — even the slasher at the center of the “Friday the 13th” series went into orbit in the 2001 “Jason X” — but that element doesn’t do a lot to distinguish “V/H/S/Beyond.” This seventh entry in the ersatz found-footage omnibus series should be another reliable draw for genre platform Shudder, where it begins streaming Oct. 4. And the ongoing overall enterprise continues to have value as a launching pad for up-and-coming talents. But despite its new thematic wrinkle, the five segments here feel familiar in ideas and unmemorable in execution. It’s a middling addition to a variably inspired anthology brand that will no doubt trundle on through more installments yet.

It’s been a long wait. But the good news is that Heartstopper Season 3 is finally here!
The bad news is that if you binged all eight episodes in one or two days like I did, now you’re left with no new episodes Again.
This season had its ups and downs (mostly ups), but the worst part is how quickly it goes by.

Heartstopper has always been a coming-of-age series, but that has never been clearer than this season.

The new film streaming on Shudder, V/H/S/Beyond, is a rather interesting addition to the otherwise mediocre V/H/S series of films. Presented in the usual found footage style that is characteristic of the franchise, this new film tells six unrelated stories, with each pretending to have been shot by some character in it using a VHS camcorder. The only common element among the different stories is the presence of other-worldly beings, and V/H/S/Beyond does a good job overall in playing with the very human intrigue about extraterrestrial life.

Heartstopper season 3 is the most difficult season to watch thus far because it focuses on Charlie’s eating disorder, amongst other things. The season begins on a high with Charlie and Nick finally being able to tell each other the big three words, “I Love You.” There’s a lot of progress for the other couples on the show, and more so for the singles too. The kids are also getting older, which means some tough decisions need to be made, and it can’t just all be fun and games, or, should I say, love and games. In season 3, we also get to dive into Charlie’s family a little bit more, specifically with his sister Tori taking center stage, which I absolutely love. Anyway, without further ado, let’s quickly go through everything that happened in Heartstopper season 3.

“I love you” is where it all begins, or so you think, because despite having been together for over 6 months, Charlie and Nick are still struggling to say this to each other. Heartstopper season 3 begins with Charlie trying to rehearse these words in the mirror when Tori walks in on him. She’s just as surprised as we are that he hasn’t proclaimed his love just yet, because clearly they’re both head over heels for each other, so there’s nothing to fear here. Though the third season starts off on quite a light note, it quickly grows into something much more difficult and nuanced to handle. There have been other shows recently that have dealt with these subjects well, but how does one incorporate them into an already well-established story? Well, that’s a lesson we must learn from Alice Oseman, because does this story just keep hitting the right spots?...

Heartstopper season 3 premiered on Oct. 3, just in time for fans to dive into the lovable teen drama series during the coziest time of the year for binge-watching. But the subject matter featured in the new season might not be as cozy as some fans were expecting. The coming-of-age story continues to grow up with its characters, and these are the most mature stories yet.
In Heartstopper season 3, Charlie sinks deeper into his struggles with his mental health and eating disorder, which causes his boyfriend Nick (and his sister Tori) a great deal of stress. Charlie's tough time coincides with the young couple's relationship going to the next level. After telling each other "I love you," Nick and Charlie explore the physical aspect of their love.
But where do Nick and Charlie end up following a season full of important life lessons and growing close together rather than further apart? Here's...

In Heartstopper Season 3, things are about to change for Charlie (Joe Locke), Nick (Kit Connor), and all their friends. As Tara (Corinna Brown) and Nick agree in the trailer, everything is “a lot” right now for your favorite British pals. Some of them are starting sixth form and considering university ahead. Others are dealing with complicated romances — or, the feelings that come with being on the outside of one, looking in. Charlie even starts a delicate mental health journey that influences all of his relationships, including the one he has with Nick.
“It was really exciting to sort of come in and see those more mature storylines, because as actors, it gives you just more opportunity to grow, and to do more challenging things,” Kit Connor told Tudum on the Heartstopper Season 3 set last year. “It’s nice, the idea that the audience is also kind of growing...

This third installment of the wholesome teen romance offers plenty of warmth and feels profoundly relatable in its exploration of heavy yet honest themes. Viewers first met the love story between Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson back in Season 1, which rapidly had us rooting for these adorable schoolmates.
Their chemistry shone so brightly that it was easy to get attached to their burgeoning feelings despite their initial uncertainty. Season 2 took us alongside the pair on vacation as they grew closer, though many storylines were left on a cliffhanger.
Now in Season 3 of the Netflix series adaptation of Alice Oseman’s graphic novels, we catch up with Charlie, Nick, and their endearing friends in the aftermath of senior prom, facing new challenges together. While Nick and Charlie remain elated in their relationship, cracks begin to show in Charlie’s mental well-being that threaten to spiral.

Season three of Netflix‘s teen romance hit Heartstopper lands on our screens this week.
Charlie (played by Joe Locke) faces something of a mental health crisis as beau Nick (Kit Connor) becomes increasingly concerned. The wider friendship group, including Imogen (Rhea Norwood), Tara (Corinna Brown), Darcy (Kizzy Edgell), Tao (William Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney), are also facing more relationship and identity crises, showing their own angst over becoming young adults — all while love, sex and university choices land on their plates.
Guest starring as Charlie’s celebrity crush Jack Maddox is Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey, who Norwood describes as “very charming.” “He’s just got this incredible, natural charisma,” the 23-year-old says.
It’s been a busy year for the young British actress, who from June to September led London’s West End performance of Cabaret as Sally Bowles, alongside musical theater pro Layton Williams, at the Playhouse Theatre.

It’s finally time for the highly anticipated 3rd season of our favorite queer show, Heartstopper, and if you don’t have the time to do yourself another binge, then I’ve got you covered, bestie. Heartstopper tells the story of high schoolers Charlie, Nick, and their besties. It’s a sweet coming-of-age and coming-into-your-identity show that will give you equal parts flutter, tears, and a lot of laughs. It’s the perfect show to binge when you’re on the downlow, and another season just makes everything more exciting. Season 1 focuses on Nick figuring out his sexuality and the beginning of Charlie and Nick’s relationship. Of course, not everybody has themselves an entire group of queer besties, but that’s what makes the show feel so compelling. A happy and sweet queer romance, not devoid of its conflicts, but not so dark it’ll leave you in a ditch after watching it.

Coralie Fargeat's "The Substance" is the horror hit of the year, delivering a Brian Yuzna-level flesh fest that has been missing from the genre for years. If a viewer is squeamish around needles, fleshy deterioration, and infected wounds, they might want to steer clear of this one. The film's final 20 minutes is a glorious, gloppy phantasmagoria of monsters and blood, featuring bodily mutations reminiscent of Paul Crane's toxic-waste-soaked character from "RoboCop." It's one of the best films of 2024.
Of course, the film isn't just glop for its own sake. It's actually a wry melodrama about impossible beauty standards as they are unfairly applied to women in Hollywood. Demi Moore plays an Academy-Award winning actress-turned-fitness-guru named Elisabeth who is about to be fired from her daily workout show merely because she's turned 50, and the studio wants someone half her age. Heartstopper season 3 is one of the most powerful pieces of television you'll see all year.
That's not hyperbole. The Netflix series has always been powerful in its own Heartstopper kind of way, but this season it dials things up, taking a thoughtful look at mental health, intimacy, and the pressures that come with being a teenager. This result is incredibly moving.
Heartstopper has become a favorite for many in the two years since its debut, with its uplifting portrayal of young queer romances rightfully garnering it high praise and a devoted following. It's the change we need in the world, and it's just so earnest in everything that it does - so much so that words that are commonly used to describe it are joyous, lovely, and warm.
Some viewers, however, longed for it to tackle more mature elements of the teenage experience. Whether that is necessary to the Heartstopper experience is up for debate,...

In 2022, Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media revived the Scream franchise with a new entry (the fifth) that was a box office hit, earning almost $139 million at the global box office. Fourteen months later, Scream VI came along – and became an even bigger hit, pulling in almost $169 million at the global box office, a number that was up there with the series’ heyday, when the first Scream and Scream 2 made just over $170 million. (Scream 3 also made over $160 million – only Scream 4 failed to crack $100 million.) So, of course, the companies are moving full steam ahead with Scream 7. While the movie seemed, initially, to be on the fast-track to success, the track it’s on has turned out to be a shockingly bumpy ride.

As excited as fans are about the return of the slasher franchise Scream, it looks like there are still some casting and script details to iron out before we get any more official information about what direction the franchise is headed. While it was previously announced that Neve Campbell would return to reprise her role as final girl Sidney Prescott, Variety reported that Courteney Cox has not signed the dotted line to reprise her role as Gale Weathers. But don't panic. It sounds like it's only a matter of time.

“V/H/S/Beyond” makes its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas on September 20. But the most exciting segment in Shudder’s latest horror anthology sequel is the franchise’s first filmed in India.
Directed by Virat Pal, “Dream Girl” follows two paparazzi when they sneak behind the scenes on the set of a Bollywood movie. The celebrity chasers discover consequences for their so-called “found footage” way worse than trespassing charges when they find superstar Tara (Namrata Sheth) waiting in her trailer. You can watch an exclusive clip from the movie above.
Anthologies help find new talent across genres, but “V/H/S/Beyond” is the latest in a string of horror movies that have proven essential to expanding perspectives in the genre. Pal, who studied advertising at Mumbai University and later attended UCLA, worked for Google before launching his film career directing shorts like “The Bells,” “Facelift,” and “Night of the Bride.”

Netflix’s season three trailer for Heartstopper begins by acknowledging that 16 is when things stop making sense. (And it doesn’t get any easier moving forward.) The trailer for the coming-of-age drama captures teen angst, and shows Charlie and Nick’s relationship is still incredibly complicated.
“Season 2 ended with Nick beginning to understand the extent of Charlie’s mental health issues, and it’s this that will drive the story through Season 3,” said series creator and writer Alice Oseman. “While Heartstopper will always celebrate the joyful and point towards hope, I’m really excited that we are allowing the tone of the show to mature alongside our beloved characters growing up. Mental health, sex, university ambitions, and more: Nick, Charlie, and the Heartstopper teens are getting older, learning more about themselves and each other, and experiencing new desires, new fears, and new joys as they approach adulthood.”

Charlie faces a mental health crisis as he and Nick navigate their unlikely best friendship-turned-romance in the official season three trailer for Netflix’s queer drama Heartstopper, which dropped on Tuesday.
“Charlie, I’m really worried about you,” Nick, played by Kit Connor, says at one point as relationships and identity drama abound in the third season teaser for the British coming-of-age series. “I hate feeling like this. I don’t know what to do now,” Charlie (played by Joe Locke) responds in another scene, as his mental health issues, first hinted at during the second season, become a major theme for the new season.
Their friends Tara (Corinna Brown), Darcy (Kizzy Edgell), Tao (William Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney) also show their own angst over becoming young adults, just as young love and sex and university ambitions figure in their lives.

If you didn't grow up on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and happened to catch "one of the best horror movies of 2024 in "I Saw the TV Glow," much of Jane Schoenbrun's film might have gone over your head. The film is indebted to "Buffy" in many ways, most obviously with its show-within-a-film "The Pink Opaque," which takes its cues from the beloved WB/CW series. But there's also a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo from Amber Benson, who for three seasons of "Buffy" played witch Tara Maclay.
Alongside co-star Alyson Hannigan, who played Willow Rosenberg, Benson would depict one of TV's first serious relationships between two women. "Buffy" never treated Willow and Tara's love as anything other than serious and meaningful, and steered well clear of using it as some sort of punchline or curio. As such, Benson has become a beloved figure of LGBTQ empowerment ever since. This is partly...

The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Kyle Abbott (Micheal Mealor) has been in the battle of his life for his own child, Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsel) from his ex-girlfriend, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). Whether or not Summer has any rights over Harrison has been up for debate between fans, but one thing is for sure, this is a tired storyline.
Summer should just let it go and let Kyle have his biological son back. Hell, they weren’t even married when they were together. It’s rare for a series to start brilliantly, continue on that trajectory, and then stick the landing.
It’s why you typically hear those same TV series when people talk about the greatest of all time.
Breaking Bad, The Wire, The Sopranos, Seinfeld, and Mad Men — these series stayed consistent and kept audiences engrossed from start to finish.
(Will Hart/NBC)
Unfortunately, that’s not always the case across the board.
More than likely, a series never finds its footing or lives up to its potential. Or it’s inconsistent at best, with a sluggish start and better finish.
And sometimes a show starts wonderfully, with acclaim and devotion from fans, only to stumble somewhere along the way and never truly recover.

They start young with the lying on The Young and the Restless. Daniel and Heather were horrified to find out that their precious Lucy was already lying to them. But Lucy is a teen. You expect teens to lie. A much younger tot, wee Harrison, who was on the August 5 episode, has been lying to his family, too. And we think we know what he’s hiding…and who’s behind it.
Change of Mood
Harrison (Redding Munsall) was all chipper with Summer (Allison Lanier) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), but then he suddenly went from smiley to frowny in an instant. When Summer asked him what was wrong, Harrison said something about forgetting his bunny and needing to go back to the Abbott Mansion to get it.
