- Bob Todd was born on December 15, 1921 in Faversham, Kent, England, UK. He was an actor, known for Superman III (1983), Adolf Hitler: My Part in His Downfall (1973) and The Best Things in Life (1969). He died on October 21, 1992 in Sussex, England, UK.
- Had a habit of cracking up on the set of the Benny Hill Show, beginning with a giggle which would then become fits of laughter infecting the rest of the crew. He was also prone to drunkenness, but seemed to be one of those people who could work quite well, even when under the influence. However, one one occasion he went on a bender for five days, having left a performance at the London Palladium, and waking up in a Dublin hospital. Hill consequently dropped him from the show for several seasons.
- Was a squadron leader in the RAF during World War II. After the war, worked variously as a fruit picker, cattle breeder and manager at London Airport.
- Stooge for Marty Feldman, Spike Milligan and Jim Davidson.
- Christopher Lee, having worked with him in 'Scars of Dracula' described him as ' The funniest man he had ever worked with.'.
- Merseyside band Half Man Half Biscuit immortalised him in the song "99% of Gargoyls Look Like Bob Todd" in the 1980s.
