Wendy is an award-winning filmmaker, director, choreographer, writer, and producer. She has worked on over 150 projects spanning film, Broadway, Off-Broadway, ballet, TV/Streaming/digital series, plays, music videos, national tours, branded content, galas, sketch comedy, and circus.
Highlights include creating, directing, and producing over 20 original dance comedies for film, theater, dance, and at a variety of institutions including The Sacramento Ballet, Broadway Dance Lab, Baryshnikov Arts Center, Just For Laughs, National Choreographic Initiative, and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Her dance comedy short film How You Look At It won nine awards (Sonoma, New Hampshire, and LA Comedy) and screened at 20 festivals around the world, including at Lincoln Center Dance on Camera Festival where her film opened the shorts program.
As a choreographer, she has worked with NBC, Amazon, Disney, HBO, Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon, and also with Grammy, Emmy, and Tony award-winning artists such as Sting, Oscar Isaac, James Taylor, David Bryan of Bon Jovi, Christopher Lloyd, Peter Scolari, and Harry Connick, Jr.
Notable choreographic highlights include The Pee-Wee Herman Show on Broadway, The Toxic Avenger Musical (Choreography nominations: Lucille Lortel, Joe A. Callaway, Toronto's DORA), Click Clack Moo (Lortel Choreography nomination), Supernovas (Joyce SoHo/Golden Nose Award), The Great Conjurer (New York Innovative Theatre Choreography Award nomination) and Murder For Two (national/international tours), plus over 65 productions including Off-Broadway musicals, Regional theater productions, and plays.
Her unique vision as a director earned her a Big 'E' Award for the live cirque-style show Onirique, and a NYTimes rave review for the off-Broadway musical Flight School. She directed the first season of two digital series: the award-winning That Reminds Me... and Buzzfeeds 'must see' Amazon Reviews: The Musical. She also directed Michael Urie in Webseries The Webseries. In NYC she has directed short plays, branded content, short films, musicals, and musical sketch comedies at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater.
