Jan Sardi is an award winning screenwriter. In 1997 he received an Academy Award nomination for his screenplay for Tỏa Sáng (1996), as well as BAFTA, Writers Guild of America and Golden Globes nominations. Jan has numerous other credits, including Nhật Ký Tình Yêu (2004) adapted from the novel by Nicholas Sparks; Love's Brother (2004), which he also directed; Lần Nhảy Cuối Cùng Của Mao (2009); and the highly acclaimed mini-series The Secret River (2015). Jan is a member of the US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the British Academy of Film and Television (BAFTA).
