- [on Marie Rosulková]: "Thanks to the Municipal Theatres I met Maria Rosulková and it was as if I returned to the world of First Republic etiquette next to her in her apartment under Vysehrad. I loved listening to her stories. She was my wonderful Maud from Colin Higgins' 'Harold and Maude'. For some people it might be just a light tabloid comedy, for me it was mainly the story of an old lady and a young, emotionally parched boy to whom she passes on her philosophy of life and love, only to release him into the world like a chick from the nest... We were very close and I think it was one of the roles that came at the right moment."
