How best to describe Never Let Go? How about a movie that feels like Paul Greengrass directed Taken, with a kick-ass leading female of T2 Linda Hamilton proportions…

Actress/musician Heather Peace has released the new video for her single "Fight For," which is a new remix of the song fans will recognize from her album Fairytales. The video stars some famous faces including Scottish TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, British newscaster Alice Arnold, actress Zoe Lucker and Lip Service's Roxanne McKee among others who hold signs showing what they fight for.
"I love that songs can mean lots of different things to different people and I wanted to embrace that in the video," Heather said. "I asked my fans and my friends to send me one word or a sentence that outlined the things they think are worth fighting for today. We got a huge response back of really mixed ideas; from the window seat on an airplane, to ending animal cruelty, to three day working weeks. A lot of people would fight for cheese.

Waterloo Road's Heather Peace has revealed why she returned to play Nikki Boston in the school soap. Peace, who has also starred in BBC Three drama Lip Service, released her debut album Fairytales earlier this year. The actress told the Daily Record: "I couldn't do the first 10 episodes when they moved [to Greenock], because I had my tour booked and it clashed. Also on the list: Heather Peace came in at number 7, Sue Perkins at 13, Jessie J at 18, Carol Ann Duffy at 25, Mary Portas at 27, Pratibha Parmar at 28, Val McDermid at 38, Jane Hill at 40, Stella Duffy at 41 and Phyllida Lloyd at 74,
Also on the list: Lucy Spraggan, who just quit X-Factor this past weekend because she was ill. Such a bummer!

Previously on Bomb Girls, Kate discovered her true calling as a jazz singer, Betty fell even further in love with Kate, Lorna was in full Dark Willow mode and makin’ whoopee with Marco, and Gladys discovered an old trick from Spencer Hastings, which is that if you never sleep, there is totally enough time in the day to be a fearless crusader for justice, a very amusing drunk, and a vixen on the prowl for love.
Propelled by all that action, this is the episode where the tone of Bomb Girls makes a decided change. Up until now this show has been unfailingly polite. I’m not sure we’ve heard a single raised voice all season, and the strongest language was when Kate said “darn it all to heck” and then probably spent the next three hours punishing herself like a House Elf.

Good morning!

Huffington Post has a piece from a late-in-life lesbian who found love at age 71. See, ladies, there is still hope!
Rihanna is working with Sia on her new single "Diamonds," which we'll get to hear next Monday. Thank god, because the radio never plays enough Rihanna songs. I kid, but I love Sia!

Good afternoon and happy Monday! What did you think of the Olympic closing ceremony? Is it just me or was anyone else concerned that Jessie J and the Spice Girls weren't wearing seat belts?

Speaking of Olympians, do you think Hope Solo looks like Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter? How about U.S. Hurdler Lolo Jones and Parks and Recreation's Rashida Jones? Us magazine has some doppelganger photos that are right on.
Lesbian comedian Fortune Feimster represented the “Islands of Lesbos” during the Chelsea Lately Idiot Championships. Wait, does one want to win or lose the idiot championship?
Heather Peace “rocks out” on the cover of Curve magazine.
On Friday Tabatha Coffey co-hosted The Talk and if you missed the episode you can watch the entire show here.

Morning Brew - Wednesday, Feb. 1: Heather Peace guest edits for "G3," Sarah Paulson in "Game Change"
It's officially February! Are you dreading Valentine's Day yet? Excited about it? Couldn't care less? Awesome!
Heather Peace was the guest editor of G3's love issue and she shares the cover with her Lip Service co-star Fiona Button. Cute!
Jane Lynch will be hosting The 14th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards in Los Angeles on February 21. She's definitely a great host, so they've got a winner in Ms. Lynch.
Speaking of Jane, I'm glad to see her in the promo for next week's Glee, which also stars Ricky Martin.
Can Glee learn some things from Degrassi? Probably. Palex kissed sometimes!
Have you been watching Alcatraz? Out actress Geri Jewell was on this week's episode and will start showing up more. I need to find it and watch, but she's been getting rave reviews for her role. Geri told Access Hollywood:

It’s Pink List time again, and it’s been more exciting than ever because The Independent On Sunday, the British newspaper that compiles the list of the country’s 101 most influential Lgbt people, have, for the first time, invited people to send in nominations. These votes will then be considered by the judging panel, which features the likes of Diva magazine editor Jane Czyzselska, Conservative MP Margot James, Welsh rugby star Gareth Thomas and Tamsin Omond, founder of the environmental campaign group Climate Rush.
Last year, there were 31 of our kind on the list, which is still quite a few steps from equality, but this was nine more than in 2009. So, by our reckoning, there should be at least 40 women on this year’s list.
Because we love a vote and writing lists, we’ve combined the two and we’ve written a list of the ten women that we would vote for.

"Great LezBritian" is a fortnightly stroll through the very best of British lesbo-centric entertainment and culture. Plus there will be some jolly good interviews with the top ladies who are waving the flag for gay UK.
Hands up — who's missing Lip Service? We feel your pain. You've most likely watched the DVD a fair few times, you're currently stalking/going to see Heather Peace gigging around the UK, Frankie is still your computer screen-saver and every now and then you still press play on your download of Roxanne McKee saying "Turn over." But try as you might, you can't shake off these Tuesday Blues. Even Gillian McKeith's pseudo fainting episode and Saturday night fixes of Minogue and Cole can’t stop you wondering: "For goodness sake, what happens next?"
Unfortunately, we can't help you with any of that. Instead, we suggest you just pull yourself together until Series Two...

It's still the night of Party Armageddon, and by first light down by the waterfront, Frankie swigs vodka straight from the bottle, like alcoholics do. Tess apologises for telling Ed about her brief liaison with Jay, and Frankie puts her arm around her as they walk home together.
Cat has awakened her DS with morning tea and they talk about the weirdness of the night before and all its happenings. The DS gets a call from her landlady and complains about the hassle of having to look for another place to live.
Cat: Maybe you don't need to.
Sam: What do you mean?
Cat: You could move in with me.
A little awestruck, the DS may be getting the validation that she has been craving. She accepts and looks ridiculously delighted, partly because she's been hinting about this for about three episodes.
Ed rings the doorbell of Frankie and Tess' flat,...

Sam's stability and self-respect, plus her strong repertoire of sexual antics already have a lot of viewers fantasizing about hook-ups, pat downs and disorderly conducts.
We first met Heather back in January, not long after Lip Service had completed filming, in a quaint little coffee shop in the epicentre of Soho, London's rainbow mothership. The countdown clock may feel somewhat weighty whilst we sit tight in anticipation for Lip Service, the UK’s first lesbian specific drama to begin on BBC Three next month. But, fellow lesbians, we have something quite special to offer you to interrupt the passing of time.
Whilst we were on set, trying to sneak inconspicuously behind the extras to speak to cast and crew — often on the sly — we gathered lots of Lip Service tidbits that we kept in a box in a secret place. We’ve now ripped it open and, quite opposite to Pandora and her box, this free fall of information is sure to put smiles on many faces.

Last night was the World Premiere of 31 North 62 East and HeyUGuys were lucky enough to be in attendance (read my review of the premiere itself here). The film is based on the screenplay by brothers Tristan and Leofwine Loraine and is directed by the former. It stars John Rhys-Davies, Marina Sirtis, Heather Peace, Craig Fairbrass and George Calil.
31 North 62 East is a political thriller, telling the story of a British Prime Minister who gives up the position (can you guess which co-ordinates they're at!) of an Special Air Service (Sas) unit in Afghanistan to ensure a UK £80 billion arms deal goes through - thus assuring his re-election. All soldiers in the Sas unit are thought to have died, until 2 months later, when one of them (a female Captain in the Sas, Jill Mandleson) is found by Italian special forces and returns to the United Kingdom to investigate matters.

Last night I was lucky enough to attend the World Premiere of 31 North 62 East, a new movie by ex-pilot turned director, Tristan Loraine. The movie stars John Rhys-Davies, Marina Sirtis, Craig Fairbrass and Heather Peace. The Premiere took place in Horsham, West Sussex for two main reasons. 1) It's where the production company, Fact Not Fiction are based. 2) It's where a lot of the movie was shot.
I live in Surrey so to go to a premiere 20 miles from my house in the lovely countryside town of Horsham was a rare treat. As we approached, we saw the sky scanners lighting up the dark sky with limos outside, a bright red carpet and men dressed in balaclavas with M16's attached to them (don't worry, they were made of rubber!). The Capitol Theatre was decked out with huge posters of the new, British low budget movie but every detail had attention...
