- George Motoi was a famous Romanian film and theater actor. He graduated from Institute of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography "I. L. Caragiale" in 1958 and made his film debut in Lupeni '29 (1963). Other notable roles are in Trecatoarele iubiri (1974), Fratii Jderi (1974), Intoarcerea lui Voda Lapusneanu (1980). He is also known for the role of Deivos in the "Margelatu" film series. He played since 1970 until the 2000s at the National Theater "I. L. Caragiale" from Bucharest. He was married with actress Cezara Dafinescu with whom he has a daughter. George Motoi remarried the actress Giliola Braileanu. He won the ACIN award for best actor for playing Andrei in Trecatoarele iubiri.
