Rosa Lobato Faria was born on 20 April 1932 in Lisbon, Portugal. She was an actress and writer, known for Aqui Não Há Quem Viva (2006), O Rosto da Europa (1994) and Vila Faia (1982). She was married to Joaquim Aires de Figueiredo de Magalhães and António de Vilas-Boas Romano e Vasconcelos Barreto Ferraz Sacchetti. She died on 2 February 2010 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Daughter of Joaquim António de Lemos Lobato de Faria, War Navy Sea Captain, and his wife Vera Correia Mendes de Bettencourt Rodrigues. Both her parents were from the Portuguese India's colonial nobility.
Her maternal grandfather was from the islands of Madeira and was still related to D. Isabel de Herédia, wife of D. Duarte (III) Pio, Heir to the Throne of the Kingdom of Portugal; he also had some Goese ancestry (from the Catholic, Portuguese speaking and named native nobility of Goa, East India).
