Oh dear, the planet is getting out of alignment and getting colder...
It's good to be reminded that this fantasy story also has sci-fi elements.
"This looks like an invitation" that can be either a good thing or a bad thing, depending on who and for what purpose left said "invitation" to anyone like Sha who can actually follow up on that (after all if it's a tech level not even her worked with before, whoever left that wasn't expecting just anybody to have it)

Unless there were others that made the exact same mistake while building a point-to-point teleporter, how would anyone know how to fix it? I mean it's possible, if the entity somehow guided others to make the same mistakes to let it through there, but someone managed to fix theirs in time to stop it or somehow avoided making the same mistake.
It would explain how the stars went out elsewhere.
But how likely is that?
Or did the minds in the Aquarius (?) core work it out, but can't do anything so they pass it on this way?

Okay, so I know this will sound like the classic joke of "I'm in it for the plot", but... DAMN is this story catchy!!! Fen has some powers that technically doesn't where they come from, you can simpatize with the characters, watch them grow, but then there's the fact that where they all live right now is just a stalagmite of what's left of Earth, and as if THAT weren't bad enough, Feretta went full on Lovecraft/Stephen King and created a monster that is devouring everything, leaving (5%?) of the remaining universe as we know it, and it's ONLY the visible unviverse without the need of a telescope. Everytime there's a sex panel or just a sexy panel, I'm like "Oh, nice" or "Cool" or "Pop. Nice" (If you know the joke, you know), but I actually want to see how he's gonna do to save the universe where Fen lives. Damn it, I want more story!!!!!!!!!!
