Shade stood in his study at the guildhall, his eyes normally rather carefree, looking serious and focused. He flipped through a few pages of his spellbook, checking the runes he’d drawn in the center of the room a few more times before sighing, and shutting the book.

“Alright...that should do it…” he said softly, his lips slightly parted as he walked into the center of the ring. He held the book out in front of him, his arcane markings glowing across his form, his orange rob beginning to softly flutter against his form as his eyes alighted with power.

“Time...to ASCEND!” he yelled out into the expanse of the room, as suddenly the runes crackled to life around him. The room seemed to darken, the torchlight almost dimming as red lighting began to crackle around the black wolf. He sighed, the book raising from his hand as he let his arms flow out from him, energy crackling and slamming into his form, slight wincing coming from the wolf with every hit before he grit his teeth, keeping his composure as his eyes closed and his body began to glow.

The lighting began to shift in color, red mixing with white flashes of color and light, his body igniting in feeling as he felt his whole body shudder from the feeling. He panted heavily, sweat dripping through his fur and along his muzzle as he cried out, fists clenching as the light encased his form and red black and white sparks flashed and shook the room, papers flying along with books, the torches flickering and sputtering tell a massive woosh of energy propelled itself outward from the glowing source, the room flashing into darkness in an instant as the final sparks of energy spattered in all directions.

Shade lay prone on the ground, soft breaths coming from his form, as the runic glow around him faded and dissipated. He lay there for a few moments, before his eyes fluttered open, a gray/crimson glow, melded together within his eyes as he slowly reached for the ground, and groaned. He looked down and blinked a few times, as he brought a hand up to his face. It was...white. Very white. Fine white scales flowed down til they met his wrist, a black puff of fur barely visible against the white robe that now adorned him. He blinked again, groaning as that hand went up to his head as the other came up to be examined. Yep, both white, both scalie, with a bit of fur running down his arm. As his hand went up to his head, he was surprised to find a hard object lodged into his skull. But he smiled as he felt them over, and they were two large, fully formed horns against his head. He groaned as he got up, and mffed a bit, looking down at his legs and smiling. Those were still wolf-like, that was good, no need to spend forever in a day trying to figure out how to walk again. But as he stretched he groaned, his chest feeling tighter, firmer, heavier. He placed a hand on his chest and his smile broadened. A thick layer of scales could be felt against his other finer ones, and that confirmed it.

“Hehehe I did itttt…” he giggled, before he felt something else with his mind, something natural but never felt before. He felt long appendages stretch out behind his form, like arms, but not quite, and he blinked again as he felt the wings fully expand behind him.

“OOOHhohoh I did it, ooh I did ittttt” he squeed, giving his wings a few firm flaps as he smiled fully, a big stupid grin on his face as he lifted off the ground a little, before landing and almost falling over, catching himself with his large tail...wait. He looked back, and wiggled it, and looked to see a huge, long fluffy tail! That same feeling on his chest running down the bottom part of it, the end wiggling frantically in his excitement with the rest just slowly flowing back and forth.

He clenched his fists then, and then let out a bork, a loud bork, and then a roar, laughing out after it as he collapsed back to a sitting position with a big broad smile on his face.

“AHAFhaa I did it, I actually did it!” he yelled out, firing his fists into the air as the white robes fell down his arms a bit, before he just collapsed back into a lying position, letting his wings fan out against the ground as his new tail wagged its way over and up onto his chest.

He sighed happily, drinking in all the new feelings across his form, wiggling the tip of his tail, feeling the tightness in his hands from the scales, and yet, the lose-ness in how fine they all were compared to his chest. He wiggled his ears, happy to find them still as pointed and fluffy as ever. And bet his tail, shuddering heavily at the feeling, with a slight sigh.

“Well...can’t have everything...guess all that power had to go somewhere” he snickered, each press against his tail still sending throbs of distorted magical energy through him. But, he had done it. He had Ascended from Arch-mage to dragon-mage, and now had a whole new slew of learnings to get through. That made him smile, as he let out one more sigh and rubbed the back of his head.

“I’m going to have a lot of explaining to do at work…”

So this was what Shade was up to during all that Lamebeard stuff...Ehh, worth >3<. hehehe, well so I decided to go through with it! :3 With the absolutely phenomenal help from  DinoGoat I got myself a new ref. And I must say....I-I think I look pretty gooood ; 3 ; heeheh. I reallly love how this turned out, kept the original woofer feel but blended it dragonic elements to make him just that much cooler, as well as just make him look awesome >///>; loook at dat biggg flufffy tailllll holly heeckk heheheeh. I love this new form a lot, have adopted it as 'me' and am now 'new and improved woofer!'. My borks can catch fire now! it pretty cool! O3O hehehe, I hope you all like the shift, cause it ganna be here to stay >3< probably, na no yea it is. (also decided to go through the whole 'video game class upgrade' path to explaining how he achieved this state, I liked the thought of that a lot and I think just added in that bit extra to just making the whole process more 'me'. Was a fun process to write >///>).
