Supporter ribbons coming soon for donators and supporters of the site. How can you get them? Donate to the site, help out, volunteer at FA: United... there'll be a few ways!
First batch of ribbons, courtesy of bombird
=3
Please for god's sake throw in a sickle.

inb4 only mods can do this.
We still have donation logs, and will go back and tally up what we can.
No reason to deny everybody else over such a small minority. And if it gives people a reason to go out of their way to support the community to get one? The site benefits.
lol
*wantwant*
;_;
SEE THE JOY IN MY EYES. IT IS JOYFUL!
It's a weird example, I guess. Over the top, but...
Check mine. I will remove it if you wish. Just pointing out that it's easy, and people will do it.
Could've sworn they were open..
or do you mean technical advice, cause there I'm stumped @.w.@
i dont can have it
alert pay sucks .-.
Yes.
Still, at least we can admire these shiny new badges & doff our caps and tug our forelocks to their majesties while we wait for the security holes to be fixed.
Go away.

I stand by my words.
Not all CSRF exploits are basic, but some of the ones that can be used against FA are pretty basic.
How do you define a basic CSRF exploit and how do you define a complex one? What is the difference between them? Why is the particular exploit on FA you're referring to is "basic"?
I'm not claiming that just because CSRF is relatively easy to exploit, it must be easy to fix. From my admittedly limited understanding it would probably require an entire rewrite of the way FA handles user sessions. But these things have been known about for quite a while now. At some point it does become reasonable to wonder if any fix is in the works at all.
I like the donation one
Why can't it be under the little emblem? D:
seriously, that's the worst thing you can see in these?
Have you decided who gets which as far as the first four? =3
And by achievements I mean like getting a certain number of pageviews, favourites, watchers etc.
at least that's the impression I got from this website
"For the Emperor, purge the heretics!"
i would actually donate a lot
great idea :3
i am going to accquire them all like a pokemon game
I hope you're just keeping it at badges...
Wouldn't even consider making FA a pay site or offering premium services on FA until the site's coding was fixed.
Also, look, in the hope that it induces you to reconsider, I'm going to say this in as snotty and dismissive a way as possible: Given FA's history, why the fuck would I or anybody trust Fur Affinity Dot Net with their webhosting needs?
Second, the web hosting is not going to be directly handled by FA, but by somebody who does it professionally for a living for a Fortune 500 company.
I see nothing wrong with adding "premium" features for a fee. It's not affecting the standard user, so why would you care? Unless you think that FA should just hand out free hosting to everybody...
As for the badges: Meh. It's going to eventually lead to drama. So is comment hiding. It's FA. What else is new?
>'forget' for 6 months to a year
>not until
So what happened to you saying FA would never ever become a paysite?
Donating to FA is like, maybe also included.
I can't help but feel that this is a bad idea
"But look, I donated!"
"Yeah, you donated 5 dollars cheapskate"
Just watch it happen, because it will, and then remember this prediction.
Definitely a bad idea to implement these, given the people here are so self-absorbed.
"Asshat pin" - expires in 30 days, given on terms of rule breaking
"Banned pin" - Obvious
Anyway, we should make those for real. :)
"oh gawd furries are going to see its shiney and want want want"
i suppose a good way to reel in the donations and such but i cant help with this there is going to be A LOT of elitism going on which always among the furries brings about drama.
It's invisible!
Not saying I have problems with this, I only hope that people don't get it into their heads that cause they donated and got a shiny badge means they have the rights to boast about it when it seriously isn't really grounds to boast since anyone can donate 5 bucks to a site.
The idea is to reduce the uniqueness of having one of the ribbons in this journal in order to hopefully reduce their ability to feed into ego stroking and drama; they'd basically go from something only "special" individuals have to being more like the collector's edition of a video game.
Either way 'neer I always wondered about these when reading about donating, because I do want to donate when I have some spare since this site's been my most visited site on the net by far, would these badges appear in your profile info or below your avatar or something? They look awesome.
Then I read that you can get the badges just for helping out as well as donating.
So I decided it is a terrible idea.
Oh well, at least there will finally be an outlet for admin favouritism that doesn't involve discriminate use of the banhammer
On another note, the way these werre made makes me think of Gaia Online from way back...
But seriously, the transparency is totally lost on the glow of Platinum and Admin badges.
I have to fix that.
APNG is an unofficial extension first proposed by Mozilla. The PNG Group has not decided to accept animation in the PNG specification (they explicitly rejected making APNG part of the spec in 2007).
The PNG Group is more open to the idea of a new animated format based on PNG (such as MNG) but to date hasn't endorsed any.
???
Speaking of, Dragoneer, do you have an estimation of when these will go live? :)
However, in CCBill's Terms, it says they can choose to block my info being used on their sites after doing a refund for fraud, and I noticed the next time I created an alt account on the site I was using (because the site itself never answered my emails), that CCBill denied my info and the site automatically processed through a backup source.
I called CCBill today and they said my info was ok, despite my explaining the situation.
When will donations open again, and if CCBill denies my card upon my attempt at donating, and calling them a second time with that information doesn't resolve the issue, is there another way I could donate? I understand that arranging another processor would be a huge endeavor.
My only option is to be issued a new card entirely.
CCBill seems to have a vast amount of complaints, but I respect your decision.
