37% of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ fans wanted Roxxxy Andrews to win All Stars 9 [POLL RESULTS]

The dust has settled on the “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” Season 9 finale, with Angeria Paris VanMicheals claiming victory after earning the most Beautiful Benefactress Badges (six) throughout the competition and winning the final lip sync. Her co-runners-up were Roxxxy Andrews and Vanessa Vanjie, who tied at five Badges apiece but ultimately lost the lip sync to Angeria. Prior to the finale streaming on July 26, 2024 on Paramount Plus, Gold Derby asked fans to vote in our poll for who they wanted to win the show, and Roxxxy came out on top with leading 37%. Do you agree or disagree with those results? Be sure to sound off down in the comments section.

Here are the complete poll results for who viewers were rooting for:

Roxxxy Andrews — 37%

Plastique Tiara — 21%

Angeria Paris VanMicheals — 18%

Gottmik — 8%

Shannel — 5%

Vanessa Vanjie — 4%

Nina West — 4%

Jorgeous — 3%

Angeria left the competition with a whopping $231,500 in her pocket for her charity NBJC, an American civil rights organization serving primarily Black members of the LGBT+ community. The Georgia native also took home a scepter and a crown for herself and joined the all-important “Drag Race” Hall of Fame. Angeria originally competed on Season 14 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” where she placed third behind runner-up Lady Camden and winner Willow Pill.

Next in line was pageant queen Roxxxy with $64,000 for Miracle of Love, which provides accessible HIV/AIDS prevention, followed by Vanjie with $31,500 for ASPCA, the animal cruelty prevention group. This was Roxxxy’s third time playing the game after being the runner-up to Jinkx Monsoon in Season 5, and then placing fourth in All Stars 2. Similarly, Vanjie was competing for the third time after coming in last in Season 10 (“Miss Vanjie,” “Miss Vanjie,” “Miss Vanjie”) and then placing fifth in Season 11.

After the final three-way lip sync of “Rhythm Nation” by Janet Jackson, host RuPaul Charles picked Anergia as the ultimate winner, perhaps in part because of her leading number of Beautiful Benefactress Badges. Don’t forget, she was cut off by the ruby snippers three times throughout the season, more than anyone else, proving that Angeria’s co-stars also saw her as a major threat. To compare, Roxxxy and Gottmik were both snipped twice, while Jorgeous was cut off once.

Also in the finale, the results of the Double Diamond group vote were revealed, with Nina West winning the ability to double her Badges. Unfortunately, by jumping from two to four, she still wasn’t eligible to compete in the Final 3 to win the grand prize for her charity. Hmm, perhaps it should have been a Triple Diamond?

  1. I am so happy Angearia won. I wanted her or Vanessa to win. I remember Roxxy from her season and she was so mean and back stabby I did not want her to win. I adore Angearia and Vanessa!
