Description Australian wartime comedy set in a Darwin 'ordinance dump' during the closing stages of World War II. Outside the military mainstream, the camp is the source of constantly fluctuating moods and relationships.
The play was banned by the Chief Secretary so the play's language was modified and it was allowed to re-open.

Further Information There are three programmes for this original season in the Wolanski Collection. The other two are undated but by comparing dates with Independent productions advertised in the programmes, appear to date from early 1949. The complete cast listed in the programme for the initial season has been entered but the programmes (presumed to be for later performances) reveal extensive casting changes.
