Description |
Leslie Caron makes a welcome return to our shores in Nocturne for Lovers, a dramatic celebration of the love affair between George Sand and Frederic Chopin. George Sand was a woman who spent her life in the pursuit of happiness. She wore trousers, smoked cigars and her affairs had already caused quite a scandal among the establishment by the time she had met the young composer.
Deftly directed by Roger Hodgman, their tumultuous relationship is told through Sand's eloquent letters intertwined by the rapturous music of Chopin, played by renowned concert pianist David Abramovist.
