Description The most difficult aspect of the task Wilson has set himself is that to record the appalling story of colonialism in the Pacific meant he had to write a tragedy. But many aspects of the story, including the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior, are so awful as to be ridiculous. Not tragedy surely - more like tragic farce. Many clownish scenes are managed with wit and inventiveness by writer and actors alike. … It's a delicate business, in a Pakeha presentation to a Pakeha audience, to broach the question of how 'Polynesian elements' are used.
