During our child-friendly activity, young explorers experience the exciting world of slate - from its formation to its extraction and finally the end product.
 

Following in the footsteps of slate, a tour of the mine takes you 15 metres underground.
After a demonstration of the old craft of ‘Leekëppert’, the children can get active themselves. Each member of the group will cut their own slate.
Then it gets creative; all participants polish their own medallion.
