Agatha All Along recently debuted on Disney+, with the MCU series serving as a spin-off to WandaVision, one of the streaming service’s most popular shows. Meanwhile, on the DC side of things, The Penguin, a spin-off of the critically acclaimed 2022 film The Batman also premiered on HBO and is streaming on Max.

As the two spin-offs are released in a similar time frame, comparisons arguing which one is better are bound to happen. However, when it comes to the rough viewership date of the two shows, it is clear that Agatha All Along is being edged out by The Penguin, which premiered to some stellar numbers. Moreover, the former might be seriously underperforming, and here is why.

Agatha All Along is MCU’s current to-be hit series, and it is a spinoff of the popular series WandaVision, as you probably know. The show underwent numerous rebrandings before sticking to the final title, so we’re rather surprised that this one lasted through the entire broadcast. Two episodes of the series debuted on Disney+ on September 18, 2024. Up until November 6, when the series concludes, the remaining seven episodes will be broadcast each week.
Early evaluations of the show promised us an entertaining and captivating experience; nevertheless, despite Agatha All Along‘s undeniable quirkiness, the reviews from critics were not as positive as anticipated; on the other hand, fans loved the show and are giving it high marks.
Luckily, the initial reactions improved, and the series is currently enjoying a lot of success, so we can talk about some things related to the show. Finally. The series features a very...

Joe Manganiello Joins One Piece as Crocodile; Nico Robin Also Cast - Main Image
The first season of Netflix’s live-action One Piece had covered (and compressed) the first East Blue Saga, and the second season is ready to bring the characters to the desert of Arabasta.
It had been teased that the crew will be going up against Baroque Works’ Mr. 0/Crocodile this time, and the show has managed to nab one A-list talent who also turns out to be a massive geek.
Key Baroque Works Members have been Cast
Though Netflix hasn’t made the official announcement themselves yet, it has been revealed online that Joe Manganiello (who also hosted this year’s Geeked Week for Netflix) is going to be playing Baroque Works’ leader Mr. 0/Crocodile. It’s also been revealed that Lera Abova (Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin) is going to be playing the part of Miss All Sunday/Nico Robin.

The veritable and multi-talented model-turned-actress Lera Abova was a rebel and then some. The influential figurehead who campaigned for some of the most reputed luxury fashion brands in the world, from Dior to Givenchy, has now turned toward spreading her aura to the film industry as she catches the eye of filmmakers like Luc Besson, Yannick Müller, and Elizabeth Banks.

With the stylistic appeal of models on the runway not adding to their IMDb credits, Lera Abova has remained severely underappreciated in mainstream media despite her numerous screen appearances in notable Hollywood films. Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness is not our average nosy neighbor nor does she know how to play by the rules. The ancient purple witch who takes pleasure in raining down chaos on her unwitting rivals constantly teeters on the fence between being extremely likable, unbelievably annoying, and sensually empowering.
Meanwhile, comic books and sexuality have been intertwined with each other since the advent of time. Superior, enigmatic, and suggestively spandex-ed action heroes kicking ass and taking names, all while looking dramatically poised and graceful – the comic book panels are almost writing themselves.

Agatha All Along seems to have stumbled face first into the ground right out of the gates, as fans are fed up with Marvel’s, and by extension Disney’s, bid to use representation as a gimmick, rather than prioritizing a good story with nuanced characters. Fans are so done with what Disney has to offer that even audiences that enjoyed The Acolyte are having a very tough time getting through Agatha All Along.

After several title changes, Agatha All Along seems to have settled on its official name. The series premieres on September 19, 2024, with the first two episodes debuting on Disney+, followed by weekly releases of the remaining seven episodes through November 6. Kathryn Hahn returns to reprise her role as Agatha Harkness from WandaVision, now taking center stage in her own standalone show.

Penned by Kohei Horikoshi, the wildly popular manga and anime series My Hero Academia has captured the attention of viewers with its detailed world-building, diverse characters, and deep moral quandaries. Among the dynamic ranges of the cast, one particular character has stood out for his remarkable journey of growth and redemption, that is none other than Enji Todoroki Aka Endeavor.

In Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia, fans have come to cherish the relationships that shaped Izuku Midoriya aka Deku’s journey to become the greatest hero. However, one character’s absence has sparked considerable discussion in the fandom- Deku’s father. The creator’s seeming reluctance to address this parent figure has led many to wonder if he has simply forgotten about Deku’s dad altogether.

Many viewers have expressed satisfaction with the series’ focus on his growth through his interactions with mentors, peers, or even rivals, arguing that the introduction of his biological father at this point might disrupt the narrative.

The year for My Hero Academia is a great one. With the manga approaching its end, the seventh season already ongoing, and a movie in the works, there is much to look forward to. Kohei Horikoshi has come a long way and now, that journey is slowing down, finding its end in the coming months. Seeing how far it has come, there is no harm in looking back at the best and brightest moments of what made it such a special experience.

Come WandaVision’s end Harkness was overpowered by the Scarlet Witch, and found herself trapped in Westview. A never-ending debate in the anime community revolves around determining the best new-gen anime manga series. Due to the vast number of fans, there are many different opinions. Harry Styles put his muscles on display in the midst of a London winter earlier this week.
The 29-year-old “Watermelon Sugar” star went shirtless while taking a dip in one of the ponds at Hampstead Heath with girlfriend Taylor Russell on Tuesday (December 26).
He wore a form-fitting pair of black swim trunks and socks, adding black gloves and a striped beanie to keep warm.
Keep reading to find out more…
Page Six obtained a photo of him with Taylor walking back up one of the docks.
Taylor also dressed for a different season. The Bones and All star wore a black leotard with the same gloves as Harry. She appeared to have a black beanie on her head, too.
If you forgot, Harry and Taylor first sparked romance rumors after the actress was spotted attending one of Harry‘s Love on Tour shows in July. The following month, they were...

‘Tis the season to watch holiday-themed horror, so we here at Arrow in the Head have decided to compile a list of the Best Christmas Horror Movies! All of the films below are, at the very least, set around Christmastime, and some of them take the connection to the holidays further than that. Here are the top 12 horror movies that we recommend checking out over the next week:
I Come In Peace (1990)
It’s easy to forget that I Come in Peace (a.k.a. Dark Angel) is set around the Christmas holiday, because Christmas is mostly just represented by some set decorations – and you’re distracted from those decorations by all the awesome stuff going on around them. Dolph Lundgren stars as Jack Caine, a Houston detective who doesn’t play by the rules. He’s stuck working with stuffy, suit-wearing FBI agent Larry Smith (Brian Benben), and these...

Howard Stern is once again under attack by former celebrity friends. This time, it’s Donald Trump, who today said the self-described “King of All Media” was a “broken weirdo” who “went woke.”
The Trump comments follow an earlier attack by comedian and talk show host Bill Maher, who made comments about Stern’s second marriage to Beth Ostrosky. Stern responded by breaking ties with Maher.
Today on Truth Social, Trump – a former frequent guest on Stern’s radio show – derided him.
“The real Howard Stern is a weak, pathetic, and disloyal guy, who lost his friends and Much of his audience,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“I did his show many times in the good old days, and then he went woke, and nobody cares about him any longer,” he said. Stern’s “influence is gone, and without that, he’s got Nothing,” Trump said, adding, “Just a broken weirdo,...

One of Netflix’s most hyped originals has finally premiered on the streaming seas: “One Piece.”
From series developers Matt Owens and Steven Maeda, “One Piece” is based on the manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda. It follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), an optimistic young man who vows to one day be King of the Pirates. In eight episodes, Netflix’s adaptation was able to capture 95 chapters of the manga.
Because the live-action adaptation is so faithful to its source material, that means we can figure out roughly where “One Piece” wants to go if there is a future for this series. Wondering who that man was at the end of Season 1? Here’s what to know about Smoker and why he’s important to this show’s future.

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 25
“The soul of a hero exists only for the sake of others.”
My Hero Academia has always been about the respectful bond and surrogate father-son relationship between Toshinori “All Might” Yagi and Izuku “Deku” Midoriya. “Izuku Midoriya: Origin,” the anime’s very first episode, beautifully establishes this dynamic, which has beautifully blossomed over the course of six seasons. All Might and Deku haven’t always been side-by-side and one of the strongest aspects of My Hero Academia’s sixth season is how it explores the stresses and failures between these two.
All Might and Deku both head down isolating paths while they consider if they’ve let the other down, all while this season bolsters a bizarro version of these two–Tomura Shigaraki and All For One–who seemingly thrive through their perversion of the surrogate guardian and student dynamic.

Paul McCartney said writing “Live and Let Die” for the 1973 Bond film of the same name was “a bit of an accolade” for him. He managed to mesh a bit of himself and the essence of James Bond into the tune effortlessly.

Paul McCartney said writing ‘Live and Let Die’ was ‘a bit of an accolade’
In his book, The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present, Paul wrote that most of the time, a musician commissions a song for themselves, but in some cases, somebody else commissions one, and “that’s a nice thing.” That’s also when the craft comes in.
Then-Apple Records head, Ron Kass, knew someone connected with the Bond franchise. One day in 1972, Rass called Paul and asked him if he’d like to do a Bond theme song. Paul tried not to seem too enthusiastic when he said he’d probably be interested.

Netflix has landed the highly-anticipated live-action film adaptation of “My Hero Academia” from producer Legendary Entertainment.
News of the live-action “My Hero Academia” movie broke in August 2021 with the announcement that renowned Japanese filmmaker Shinsuke Sato (“Alice in Borderland”) would direct and executive produce the project, which marks his English-language debut. Sato will direct from a screenplay by Joby Harold, adapted from the globally acclaimed manga property. “My Hero Academia,” written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi, is among the most popular manga titles in the world with over 65 million copies in circulation (including digital editions).

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 10
“They’re just a few dead people who lost to me…”
There’s a fascinating phenomenon where recipients of organ transplants sometimes report a change in personality, taste, and even memories, that are an echo of the organ’s donor. My Hero Academia has extrapolated that concept with Quirks as both Izuku Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki have inherited the traits of the previous bearers of their powers. This synthesis begins to reach parasitic proportions as past vestiges of good and evil continue their legacies through their modern vessels.
My Hero Academia gets explicit with this organ donor metaphor to better emphasize that this isn’t just a showdown between Midoriya and Shigaraki, but also one between One For All and All For One, and ultimately heroism and villainy. “The Ones Within Us” allows two tremendously powerful opposing forces...

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode Episode 6

Shigaraki and Midoriya have been on parallel paths where they’re destined to clash for far longer than either of them have realized. Last season adeptly set up the showdown that’s about to be in motion and Shigaraki is finally back in action and ready to make up for lost time. “Encounter, Part 2” follows the events of last week’s “The Thrill of Destruction,” but it’s also just as much a continuation of My Hero Academia’s season two finale, “Encounter,” where Deku and Shigaraki first share a foreboding meeting. “Encounter, Part 2” begins to cash in on seasons’ worth of tension, but it fails to meet the potential of its title as it spends more time on setting up what’s to come than actually putting Shigaraki and Midoriya together.

Pairing wine with movies! See the trailers and hear the fascinating commentary for these movies, and many more, at Trailers From Hell. This week we pair wines with birthday cake for a trio of movies starring Dustin Hoffman.
Dustin Hoffman is now 85 years old. What birthday present do you give someone who has two Oscars and a large duffel bag full of other awards? A bigger duffel bag? We have all evoked Hoffman’s roles at one time or another, anytime we have said, “I’m walkin’ heah!,” “Are you trying to seduce me Mrs. Robinson?,” “Ten minutes to Wopner” or “No, it’s dangerous, it’s very dangerous.” More Novocaine, please.
It’s a shame that none of those quotes come from the movies we’re viewing this week, but I don’t choose ‘em, I just pair wine with ‘em. If I did get to choose, Ishtar would be in the lineup.

Ashley All wasn’t sure she wanted her three young daughters — 12, 10 and seven years old — to come to Tuesday’s election night watch party. There was a chance it could be a deeply depressing night. For the last eight months, All had been working, as part of Kansans for Constitutional Freedom, to defeat an effort to strip the right to abortion from the state constitution. Hard-right lawmakers in the Kansas legislature passed the amendment back in January 2021, but in order to change the state’s constitution, it had to be ratified by Kansas voters.

I’ll warn you ahead of time – this trio of movies is held together with the flimsiest thread – two films from the Three Stooges and one about The Stooges, the punk outfit from Michigan which blew the doors off of rock’n’roll in the late 1960s. I’m certain that somewhere, sometime, someone had to have written about these Stooges and the comedic threesome in the same article, Maybe in Impossible Matches Monthly or Non Sequitur Weekly. We, however, have wine pairings to go along with them.
We’ll start with the outlier, Gimme Danger, the 2016 Jim Jarmusch film about the musical Stooges. Jarmusch was Iggy Pop...

How a 1994 indie hit from Kevin Smith gave birth to an unlikely franchise...
In 1993, Kevin Smith made a movie. Clerks was shot in black and white over the course of three weeks, at night, in the convenience store where Smith worked during the day, on a shoestring budget of $27,575. Smith funded the film himself by dipping into his savings, selling all his comics and maxing out several credit cards.
Even though it became an indie phenomenon when it was picked up by Bob and Harvey Weinstein's Miramax (who gave it a new soundtrack using a post-production budget that was ten times the cost of principal photography) at the 1994 Sundance Film Festival, it doesn't have 'franchise starter' written all over it.
Long considered a Gen X touchstone, Clerks is a funny and filthy slice of life movie, which equates a working day for Dante Hicks (Brian O'Halloran) to his namesake's Inferno.

A few years ago, in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the death of influential film critic Pauline Kael, I wrote the following:
“I think (Kael) did a lot to expose the truth… that directors, writers and actors who often work awfully close to the surface may still have subterranean levels of achievement or purpose or commentary that they themselves may be least qualified to articulate. It’s what’s behind her disdain for Antonioni’s pontificating at the Cannes film festival; it’s what behind the high percentage of uselessness of proliferating DVD commentaries in which we get to hear every dull anecdote, redundant explication of plot development and any other inanity that strikes the director of the latest Jennifer Aniston rom-com to blurt out breathlessly; and it is what’s behind a director like Eli Roth, who tailors the subtext of something like Hostel Part II almost as...
