Will Forte is one of my favourite comic actors, but he may only have 19 years left to live. At least, that’s if you believe what a pissed-off spirit said through an Ouija board. While appearing on Rachel Dratch’s Woo Woo podcast, Forte flashed back to when he was a teenager and asked the Ouija board how he was going to die. The spirit answered that he was going to be stabbed to death at 73. Very specific.
The prediction happened when Forte was a teenager and had visited a girl he was interested in. The girl was friends with a “self-proclaimed witch” who brought over the Ouija board. “I would ask questions of this Ouija board that nobody else would know the answers to, and it would get the answers correct. And so I was pretty blown away,” Forte said. “I was thinking, like, is there a way that...

After crafting the best film of 2023 with The Beast, Bertrand Bonello is prepping his next feature. While he was tight-lipped on details, he tells Variety, “It’s a little early to talk about it. It’s going to be very different. It’s going to be completely different. The writing is finished, and we’re going to start the casting process. I’m going to announce it once the casting is done. I hope to start shooting next September.” Speaking about how cinema is changing, he added, “This mutation is freaky and fascinating. If you don’t involve it in your creation, you’re out. It’s always an equilibrium. You must protect the past and welcome the future. If you just welcome the future, you’re lost in the movement. If you protect the past, you’re out now.”

From modern classics to iconic series, there are so many great mysteries to watch now that the latest murder at the Arconia has been solved.
It’s a wrap on yet another high-octane season of Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building!” The Emmy Award-winning murder-mystery comedy series starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez aired its Season 4 finale on Tuesday, Oct. 29 as the lead crime-solving trio finally found who stunted stuntwoman Sazz’s further life and career ambitions. And as is tradition for the series, the season ended as it began: in carnage, as celebration turns to suspicion and a beloved Arconia fixture becomes the latest victim.
To paraphrase the one and only Charles Brazzos, when one murder door closes, another opens. There will be more cases to crack in future seasons of “Only Murders,” but while this case is closed, don’t let your detective instincts get rusty.

Every few months, the Confederated Union of TV Trend Piece Reporters gathers to launch a flotilla of “Is HBO’s Sunday night domination over?” stories.
Game of Thrones ends? “Is HBO’s Sunday night domination over?”
Succession ends? “Is HBO’s Sunday night domination over?”
House of Dragons departs for an indeterminate period of time? “Is HBO’s Sunday night domination over?”
But the cool kids know that while HBO’s Sunday remains a center of beloved prestige programming that waxes and wanes in cyclical waves, if you’re looking for the future of television today, you’re better off turning your attentions to Fridays at 11.
I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it again: This is where HBO is putting the good stuff, the weird stuff, the auteur-y stuff, the stuff you can mention at a party and know that anybody who knows what you’re...

Detroiters is one of the funniest shows of the past decade, and now it’s finally available on Netflix — but only after Netflix seemingly pissed off every single Detroiters fan on the internet.
After previously announcing that the Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson-starring show would be available on their service (which also produces Robinson’s I Think You Should Leave) beginning on October 15th, Netflix quietly deleted those announcements and never added the show to their library that day.
As we previously mentioned, people were extremely ticked off, especially since absolutely no explanation was given for the apparent change of plans. It seemed to many fans as though Netflix was ignoring the controversy and betting that the issue would go away — so basically the big tech equivalent of hiding in your home with the blinds closed, hoping that Mormon missionaries will get tired of ringing your doorbell.

If you’ve been on the internet for any length of time since about 2013, you’ve run into the “Florida Man” meme, premised on the idea that, at any given moment, a Florida man is wilding out in a way that’s possibly criminal and definitely irrational. If a man is almost dying getting a lap dance from his housekeeper, snorting coke to hide evidence after fleeing a traffic stop or jogging shirtless in defiance of Hurricane Milton’s imminent landfall, he’s a Florida man. He’s been immortalized in a website, an Instagram feed, a subreddit and quasi-Olympic “Games” where competitors wrestle in muddy water and tussle while holding pitchers of beer. He used to be the subject of a Twitter feed collecting kooky stories, but its curator, Freddie Campion, retired it in 2019. As he told Logan Hill for a piece in the Washington Post that year, Campion shut it down after wondering,...

I Think You Should Leave creator and Saturday Night Live alumnus Tim Robinson’s passionate and watchful fan base is quickly evolving into an angry mob heading right toward Netflix — you’d think they canceled Coffin Flop or something.
When Robinson left the cast and writing staff of SNL in 2016, he didn’t have quite the rabid cult following that he enjoys today, but that began to change as soon as he started his first post-SNL project with his fellow Second City veteran and Michigan native Sam Richardson. Together with Robinson’s regular writing partner Zach Kanin and longtime TV writer Joe Kelly, Robinson and Richardson pitched Comedy Central on an off-beat sitcom set in Detroit, shot in Detroit and starring two of the most prominent Detroit-area comedians on TV — Robinson and Richardson, of course.

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune has now been delayed from October 14th, 2024 until 2025. That means diehard fans will have to wait even longer to see Pat Sajak’s final spin. This is disheartening for those who do not care for Ryan Seacrest, who Pat passed the torch for Season 42. So, why has this happened? Keep reading for more details.
Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune Delayed Until 2025
Fans were thrilled to learn that Pat Sajak would be back for one more spin on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. When he announced he would be leaving WoF at the end of Season 41, there were mixed emotions. The “Florida Man” jokes have been online for a few years. The idea is that a person will type those two words into the search engine, and there will be several bizarre articles from legitimate news sites about someone doing something completely bizarre. The adult-animated comedy-horror series Velma will not be returning for a third season, as Max has given the show the boot. In other words, Velma has been officially canceled.
Here's an official statement from Max about the show's cancellation via Variety:
Over the past two seasons, Mindy [Kaling] and Charlie [Grandy] have created an incredibly fun and fresh world within the iconic whodunit franchise. While we won’t be moving forward with another season of the series, we thank them for their compelling coming-of-age storytelling, unrivaled clues, and hilarious hijinks.
Charlie Grandy developed and created Velma. The show was based on the character Velma Dinkley from the Scooby-Doo franchise, and it told Velma's origin story, focusing on her life before she became part of the Mystery Inc. gang. The other human members that would eventually make up Mystery Inc. were also in the show, such as Fred, Shaggy (Norville), and Daphne.

It always stings when one of our favorite shows is canceled, but it’s also not a good feeling when a streamer or platform keeps a show going when it’s not popular or receives a lot of backlash. When it comes to Mindy Kaling’s Velma, it’s both.
Max has finally officially canceled Mindy Kaling’s Velma and honestly? Good riddance. Sorry not sorry, but it’s time to make way for shows people actually want to see. And the fall season is not the time to fool around, it’s when we expect the most from TV, especially streaming platforms.
Now, don’t get me wrong. The character of Velma was actually my favorite from the animated series Scooby-Doo. While everyone was stanning Daphne, I was all about Velma. I even picked up “jinkies!” and made it one of my go-to phrases. Did that make me cool at school?...

Jinkies indeed! After two divisive seasons, Max won’t be renewing Mindy Kaling’s adult animated series Velma for another season. The show, starring Kaling as the voice of Velma Dinkley, lasted for two seasons before Max ripped off its mask, revealing a cancelation notice where a mustache-twirling villain’s head should be. The cancelation of Velma hits hard for fans of the series who genuinely enjoy Kaling’s unique spin on the Scooby gang and their darkly-themed misadventures.

Velma Dinkley has solved her last mystery (for now).
Max has canceled its animated series Velma after two seasons. The show’s second season debuted in April, and a Halloween special that premiered on Oct. 3 marks the final outing for the show.

The series starred Mindy Kaling and was based on the beloved “Scooby-Doo” character. Season 2 of the show debuted back in April. The series served a prequel to “Scooby-Doo,” with Velma and the other members of Mystery Inc. as high school students solving mysteries in the town of Crystal Cove.
The voice cast included: Glenn Howerton, Sam Richardson, Constance Wu, Russell Peters, Melissa Fumero, Sarayu Blue, Jane Lynch, Wanda Sykes, Cherry Jones, Frank Welker, Nicole Byer, Gary Cole, Andia Winslow, and Sara Ramirez.
“Over the past two seasons, Mindy [Kaling] and Charlie [Grandy] have created an incredibly fun and fresh world within the iconic whodunit franchise,” Max said in a statement. “While we won’t be moving forward with another season of the series, we thank them for their compelling coming-of-age storytelling, unrivaled clues, and hilarious hijinks.”

Mindy Kaling’s Velma has reportedly come to an end, though Max has yet to make an official announcement. The show’s second season was a critical failure, which was enough for Max to kick it off their platform. Kaling’s show frustrated some fans right from the beginning with its diverse Velma Dinkley character and an alternate universe Mystery Inc.

These fans celebrated the show’s reported cancelation. Even fans accepting of all the changes found the series to be bad, as the comedy didn’t work for them. Unfortunately, Velma also did not feature Scooby-Doo, the main character of the original.

Everyone knows that Florida is a crazy place where things happen that don’t happen anywhere else. HBO’s new late-night comedy series “It’s Florida, Man” celebrates that wackiness, telling ripped-from-the-headlines tales from the Sunshine State in a genre-defying way that’s something like a cross between true crime documentary and sketch comedy, or as someone says in the YouTube comments for the trailer released today, “Drunk History: Florida Man Edition.”
“As stories get wilder, more often than not, they’re not true,” says Carl Hiaasen, the novelist (“Bad Monkey”) and newspaper columnist who’s one of Florida’s foremost chroniclers. “But in Florida, they’re all true.”
The series hails from creator Mark Herwick and director Jeff Tomsic, who executive produce alongside “The Righteous Gemstones” EPs Danny McBride and Brandon James, with Bryan Storkel. The show features interviews from everyday Floridians about the stranger-than-fiction things that have happened to them.
