In May of 2009, on a whim, Pat Kaye answered a Craigslist ad seeking
production assistant help on a collegian Senior Project even though her prior education and
experience was in the left-brain world of accounting/auditing. Little did she
know at the time that would be the first step on what would become a
marvelous, magical journey about which she had never even imagined.
Interested in film, but only seeing herself as a 'behind-the-scenes'
person, she surprised herself as more and more she found herself on the
other side of the camera. Her actor colleagues as well as producers and
directors urged her on in that direction and she took their advice to
heart. Now she is concentrating primarily on her acting roles as she
seeks to broaden her reach and hone her craft. As a Pay-It-Forward for
the support she received and continues to enjoy, she administers
several film-related Facebook pages designed to connect cast and crew
members to quality resume-building and/or paying positions. And the
Journey Continues!
