Jung (Them), Patrick Agada (Kappa Force), Mikaylee Mina (The Black Mass), Diana Villegas (Dead For a Dollar), Ramona Dubarry (The Curse), Olga Itsenko and Brian McCarthy.

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Tuesday’s Good Trouble premiere.
One of Callie’s paramours made their feelings for the brunette very clear during Good Trouble‘s Season 2 premiere.
After having a work-related disagreement, Jamie came to The Coterie to apologize to Callie and explained that he was just trying to protect her… because he loves her! Perhaps tellingly, Callie responded not with an “I love you, too,” but with a kiss.
“Callie’s a waffler. Callie’s always got, like, at least half a foot out any door,” executive producer Peter Paige says of her measured response. “That...

Twitter was abuzz with excitement when it was revealed that Callie's latest love interest is bisexual on Good Trouble Season 1 Episode 1.
It was the most awesome reveal ever!
Except now, The Coterie is throwing a party and Callie may have to come face to face with the guy she accidentally saw Gael hooking up with through his bedroom window.
Can you say awkward much?

Mariana is as amused by this as the rest of us.
The first thing we need to note is Gael has damn fine taste. His mysterious bed buddy Bryan, played by Michael Galante is handsome.
What started out looking like a love triangle between Mariana, Callie, and Gael might become a love triangle between Gael, Callie, and Bryan.
Love triangles can be a pain in the ass, but I'm already invested in it, dammit. And it doesn't hurt that...

My gender identity is complex, but my life experiences intersect frequently with those of trans women and it’s a category I feel proud to be partially resident in. I dress femme, I’m starting estrogen in a couple weeks, I’ve flirted with voice training, and when I go out for a walk it’s pretty solid odds that at least one passer-by is going to scream some shopworn slur at me. This review was a deeply personal experience for me, and it’s as much a breakdown of my thoughts on life as a trans person as it is a dissection of a sweet, uncomplicated rom-com.
There are several longstanding traditions in Western film and television regarding trans women. First,...

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smarter, warmer, more honest depiction of human sexuality than this roundrobin of emotion and attraction. I love this movie. I’m “biast” (pro): nothing
I’m “biast” (con): nothing
(what is this about? see my critic’s minifesto)
Ricky (Michelle Hendley) hates life in her small rural Kentucky town. She’s working in a cafe there only until she hears back from the New York design school she’s applied to; she dreams of having her own line of clothing and already has quite a following on her YouTube channel devoted to fashion. She and her purely platonic best friend Robby (Michael Welch: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1) pass their time hanging out and have teasing conversations about the differences between men and women when it comes to love and sex and relationships.
All totally normal for a couple of young 20somethings.

It is hard to think of a more generic title for a romantic comedy than Boy Meets Girl, although the newest film from writer/director Eric Schaeffer (If Lucy Fell) is much more unique than its limp name implies. The title does not refer to a meeting between two people of different genders, but the merging of gender identities. Protagonist Ricky (Michelle Hendley) was born a man but identifies as a woman. As a child, she dressed up in gowns for Halloween. In high school, she ditched football for fashion blogging and dress designing.
In a time when greater awareness about the transgender community has created much more cultural acceptance, watching Boy Meets Girl feels both liberating and limiting. That liberation comes from Schaeffer’s openness to delve into questions of gender, identity and sexuality, However, familiar plotting, characters and dialogue limit the depth of the drama. Regardless, one can...
