Wayne Hodges co-wrote, directed and starred in the short film western "Once Upon a Woman". Premiering in Vienna Austria, it went on to win 8 awards in 17 different film festivals worldwide, including a Gold Remi at the 52nd Worldfest - Houston International Film Festival.
After serving honorably in the United States Marine Corp, Wayne studied acting at the famed Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in West Hollywood, studying under Marc Marno, Sasha Krane, and Hedy Sontag. Wayne also studied screenwriting under Mark Kemble. Since leaving Strasberg, Wayne has been a part of and/or acted in numerous productions, including Azizam in the role of "Rameen", directed by Alci Rengifo and set in pare-revolution Iran, "Azizam" won a Platinum Remi at the 56th Worldfest - Houston International Film Festival, and was an Official Selection at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival: Emerging Filmmaker Showcase.
Wayne has most recently featured in "I Am Not a Bartender" and "What Next" as the role of "Alvaro," director Salvador Carrasco's proof of concept adaptations of acclaimed author Juan Gabriel Vasquez's novel "The All Saints Day Lovers." Executive Produced by Carrasco and Vasquez, the feature adaptation entitled "Lovers" is still in development.
Wayne attended Werner Herzog's Rogue Film School, where Herzog infamously told him, "You are the one person here who probably doesn't need this."
