Vinicius Zorin-Machado was born in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on July 12th 1982. His father, Antonio Carlos de Oliveira Machado, is a former professional soccer player turned entrepreneur. His mother, Sueli Ferreira Machado, segued her way to the limelight as a dancer. She earned the title Queen of Carnival in Brazil (while pregnant with the young Vinicius) and shortly after, gave it all up to become a full-time stay-at-home mom of three. At the age of ten, Vinicius started studying Capoeira, a Brazilian dance form, which led him into the discovery of his love for the stage.
In 1994, the family migrated to the United States, finding footing in Orlando, Florida. In the US, Vinicius started playing soccer for a junior soccer team while continuing in his Capoeira endeavors. This led him to becoming a guest performer on one of Miss Brazil-USA's opening acts. In 2001, he graduated from Dr. Phillips High School (a Magnet School), with numerous stage experiences under his belt. This helped establish not only his resume but begin his professional pursuit as a full-time entertainer at Universal Studios Orlando. Vinicius helped open up Islands of Adventure, starring in local newspapers and commercials for the park along-side several celebrities such as Steven Spielberg and Eddie Murphy. He also worked on many Disney projects, at the same time. Word got around quickly about his versatility, work ethic, and money-making looks. He acquired his first official representation and began honing in on his craft through various stage plays, schoolings, infomercials, PSA's, television shows, and films (including his feature film debut in Real Premonition, an award-winning film).
In 2005, he relocated to Los Angeles, California. Due to his extensive background in sports, dance and theatre, Vinicius landed the role of a teen heartthrob on the popular Nickelodeon Show Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, within his first month in LA. Vinicius started upping the ante with starring roles in shows like The Shield, CSI: Miami, NCIS and General Hospital. It is the challenges and obstacles that he has faced in his life that continue to fuel his passion. Using his experiences from a near fatal car crash, homelessness, and bullying, he channels these adversities into the lives of his on-screen personas. Along with his various television roles, this Latino sensation has also graced the silver screen in blockbusters like Monster, Get Smart, Beautiful and Twisted (opposite Rob Lowe & Paz Vega), and Mollywood. American Latino TV named him "The Fastest rising Latino Talent" for his many prime-time roles on hit television shows and films.
His unforgettable performance as "Nomar," from the hit Television series Power, where he portrayed a criminal informant with ties to New York's seedy underbelly of gangs and drugs, has garnered the actor industry wide acclaim. Multi-faceted characters are also very familiar to this rising star, who doesn't shy away from digging deep and can easily capture complex emotions on screen. "I'm not afraid to go to real dark places. I embrace them actually. I've capitalized on it as an actor," he states. He also played the role of Tony Chessani, son of a corrupt mayor, on HBO's hit show True Detective - a series in which he clearly showed that he can hold his own alongside fellow actors Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams. His commanding presence coupled with his unshakeable charisma, has brought to life remarkable characters. This also includes his work as a voice over actor, most notable for his narration of the critically acclaimed Man from Lisbon (a twelve-hundred-page novel). This solo audio book performance landed him a position as a house hold voice over name at the Deyan Audio Inc.

His diverse skill set has also led him to multiple other endeavors in the industry. In 2019, he developed a pilot and served as an executive producer on a feature film. He's been developing his writing abilities and today sees this passion as an essential and permanent career move in the near future. With this, he decided to partner up with his wife, Anastasia Zorin-Machado, and together they launched their own company titled Zorin-Machado, Inc. He was the June 2015 recipient of the "People of Distinction," Humanitarian Award. He continues to be a steward to all who seek emotional, mental support and aid with campaigns, such as "Stop Bullying Now." Vinicius found a track to run in, with the elements of love as his inspiration, honesty as his medium and writing as his dimension.
