Timothée Chalamet immersed himself as Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknown, which his co-stars were supportive of.
In a new interview, co-star Edward Norton opened up about seeing Chalamet’s process into playing the singer-songwriter in the James Mangold-directed film.
In the new issue of Rolling Stone with Chalamet on the cover, Norton says, “He was relentless. No visitors, no friends, no reps, no nothing. ‘Nobody comes around us while we’re doing this.’ We’re trying to do the best we can with something that’s so totemic and sacrosanct to many people.”
Norton continued, “And I agreed totally — it was like, we cannot have a f***ing audience for this. We’ve got to believe to the greatest degree we can. And he was right to be that protective.”

Taking on the role of Bob Dylan for James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown, Timothée Chalamet sang Dylan’s songs so well that people on set debated whether he was lip-syncing or not. He also used a method approach to staying immersed in his role.
In Chalamet’s Rolling Stone cover story published Monday, the actor’s co-star Elle Fanning recalled hearing Chalamet sing as Dylan while filming.
“We were in an auditorium, and I was sitting amongst all these background artists. Jim would let Timmy come out and give the crowd a whole concert. He was singing ‘Masters of War’ and ‘A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall,’ and I was like, ‘Jesus.’ All of us were kind of shaking, because it was so surreal hearing someone do that. So perfectly done, but it wasn’t a caricature. It was still Timmy, but it’s Bob, and this kind of beautiful meld.

Timothée Chalamet wanted to do Bob Dylan justice in biopic “A Complete Unknown.”
The feature, which marks Chalamet’s transformation into the iconic folk singer, is directed by “Walk the Line” helmer James Mangold, and charts Dylan’s (Chalamet) rise to fame in the early 1960s. Chalamet sings onscreen alongside an ensemble cast including Monica Barbaro, Elle Fanning, Edward Norton, Boyd Holbrook, and Scoot McNairy.
Chalamet told Rolling Stone that it was imperative to maintain a certain sense of selflessness and become, well, unknown to himself during the production of “A Complete Unknown.”
“It was something I would go to sleep panicked about, losing a moment of discovery as the character — no matter how pretentious that sounds — because I was on my phone or because of any distraction,” Chalamet said. “I had three months of my life to play Bob Dylan, after five years of preparing to play him. In Thom Browne: The Man Who Tailors Dreams, German documentarian Reiner Holzemer, whose recent work has included films on the fashion houses of Dries Van Noten and Martin Margiela, tackles a designer with an instantly recognizable aesthetic but an aversion to introspection. That makes Browne a somewhat distant subject, an enigma, as one friend and colleague describes him. He prefers to keep the creative spark tucked away inside his head and let his garments speak for themselves.

Marvel Studios has shared a cast list for the upcoming third and final season of What If...?, and Jeffrey Wright's Watcher looks set to be joined by another A-List lineup of Marvel Cinematic Universe talent.
We heard some time ago that season 3 would add some key Phase 4 characters to the mix, and that's evident from the presence of Kingo, Shang-Chi, Kate Bishop, and Moon Knight.
There aren't many surprises beyond that, though we are intrigued to see what the likes of Sonny Burch and Arishem the Judge bring to the table.
What If...? will also deliver some big MCU debuts, with Barbie star America Ferrera and Harry Potter icon Jason Isaacs among the guest stars set to appear in the 8-episode series.

Quentin Tarantino explains why he won’t watch Dune movies. (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Quentin Tarantino is one of the most celebrated directors in Hollywood. His movies have continued to wow the audience to date. Any work with his name attached immediately grabs the audience’s attention, for it would mean that that particular work would be a piece to behold. Original works and any recommendation by such celebrated filmmakers receive much attention. Imagine such a persona saying they will not indulge in a piece of art that has already received a lot of fame and acclaim.
Quentin Tarantino said in one of his recent interviews that he would not watch Dune movies. For the uninitiated, Dune is a highly acclaimed science fiction movie duology based on novels of the same name by author Frank Herbert. Timothee Chalament, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Javier Bardem, and Jason Momoa are the film’s ensemble cast.

It may have been Brat Summer, but Charli Xcx is determined to keep that energy going into the winter months in her new “Saturday Night Live” promo.
The Grammy-nominated singer dropped the first teaser for this weekend’s episode on Instagram Wednesday — and she pretty much only has one thing to say about it: “Brat.”
In the NBC clip, Chloe Fineman single-handedly holds a conversation with the pop star, who only offers the title of her lime green album in response. Whether she’s feeling nervous, grossed out, excited or even just mid-sneeze, her varied intonations of the word get her points across.
However, when new “SNL” addition Emil Wakim admits he doesn’t quite understand the Internet reference, Charli breaks her “Brat” streak to say, “But you will, babes.” Naturally, Fineman ends the ad using a leafblower on the singer as her song “365” bumps in the background. Enough said.

Lucasfilm wants to continue Rey’s story, as played by Daisy Ridley, with parallel Star Wars productions said to be writing plots around her character.
The Star Wars franchise has been a familiar enough sight on TV over the past five years, thanks to such shows as The Mandalorian and Andor. As we’ve recently explored, Lucasfilm is on shakier ground in cinemas, having been away from the big screen since 2019’s The Rise Of Skywalker.
Lucasfilm is evidently keen to continue the story of Rey, though, with actor Daisy Ridley set to reprise her role in a film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Reportedly called New Jedi Order, that film is said to feature a more seasoned Rey, now the mentor to a new generation of trainee Jedi.

Marvel Television has entertained us with over 10 TV shows since it began expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the small screen via the Disney Plus streaming service, but Moon Knight may have been the most truly gripping of them all. The show marked the live-action debut of the most famous Marvel hero that isn't an X-Man to never appear in the MCU franchise, ending his MCU drought and starting a new chapter for him.
Its greatest strength was, of course, Oscar Isaac, who turned in one of the most nuanced performances in the whole franchise. What he accomplished as Marc Spector and Steven Grant (and of course Moon Knight) was nothing short of outstanding and it was a thrill to watch him perform each and every week throughout the show's six-episode run.

“X-Men” alum Simon Kinberg is preparing to visit a galaxy far, far away.
Lucasfilm is developing a new “Star Wars” trilogy with Kinberg set to write and produce the three films with studio chief Kathleen Kennedy. This will begin a new series with new characters after “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac, concluded the original nine-chapter “Skywalker Saga” in 2019. Though plot details haven’t been revealed, Lucasfilm has disputed the notion, first suggested by Deadline in their initial report of the forthcoming trilogy, that Kinberg’s movies will continue the story that George Lucas began with 1977’s “A New Hope,” introducing Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia.

If you ever wanted to live like a Star Wars star, now is your chance! Do you have a few million dollars laying around? If so, this is the article for you!
Star Wars sequel trilogy actor Oscar Isaac is selling his New York penthouse in Brooklyn. The massive four bedroom, three bathroom apartment (which is huge by New York standards) is at the cross section between Fort Greene, Park Slope, Boerum Hill, and Cobbie Hill, according to The New York Post. If this is something you're interested in, you just need to shell out about $4.5 million dollars which is what it's currently listed.
Isaac has owned this property since 2018, where he got it for the same price he is listing it for. It was on the market a bit last year before it was taken down.
Maybe the real estate change is thanks to the star's rise the last several years.

Production is now underway on writer/director Ted Evans’ debut thriller “Retreat,” starring Anne Zander, James Boyle and Sophie Stone, with Ace Mahbaz and Anna Seymore rounding out the cast.
The film, featuring an all-deaf principal cast (Evans is also deaf), is set in an isolated deaf community, where cracks begin to appear in Matt’s (Boyle) seemingly idyllic world when the arrival of enigmatic outsider Eva (Zander) forces him to question the realities of his identity. Is Matt prepared to discover what lies beneath the surface of his supposedly utopian community and the costs demanded to maintain it?
XYZ Films is handling worldwide sales on “Retreat” as a part of their New Visions slate of films, an initiative designed to spotlight the boldest new voices alongside established talent striking a new path in the international space. It will be introducing the film to buyers at the upcoming American Film Market.

Exclusive: Marvel’s Moon Knight Director Mohamed Diab has revealed fresh details about his new feature Lion, starring Egyptian megastar Mohamed Ramadan in a role inspired by Ancient Rome rebel slave Spartacus.
“It’s a period piece, a kind of Spartacus meets Braveheart set in 1850s Egypt,” said Diab, talking to Deadline on the fringes of Egypt’s El Gouna Film Festival.
Currently mid-way through shooting in Cairo, Lion marks Diab’s first picture back in his native Egypt since 2016 breakthrough Clash. In between times, he made the Palestine-set drama Amira, followed by directing Moon Knight for Marvel.
Diab has revealed very little about the new movie, which was originally announced under the title of Black Lion and is being billed as his most ambitious Arab-language production to date.
“It’s about slavery in the 1850s. It’s an epic film. It’s not based on a real person but inspired by true events.

Last December, the folks at Cosmic Circus dropped the rumor that a team of supernatural characters known as the Midnight Sons might be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe… and now, industry scooper Daniel Richtman has revealed that sources indicate Marvel might be putting a Midnight Sons movie on the fast track to production! According to Richtman, Marvel is currently looking to get a director attached to the project.
One of my favorite comic book story arcs is the “Rise of the Midnight Sons”, which saw Doctor Strange overseeing the formation of a team of supernatural heroes – Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze, Morbius, the Nightstalkers, and Darkhold characters Vicki Montesi, Louise Hastings, and Sam Buchanan – who were brought together to battle Lilith, the Mother of All Demons, and her evil offspring, the Lilin. There have been rumblings that Marvel Studios is developing a Midnight Sons movie revolving around the McU's supernatural heroes for several years now.
Werewolf by Night opened the door to exploring that corner of this shared world when it introduced us to Jack Russell and Man-Thing, while a few different projects have confirmed the existence of vampires. We also have Agatha All Along, a series delving into witchcraft and one that's potentially going to introduce characters like Mephisto and Death.
Moon Knight is another character who would fit nicely into Midnight Sons, though Blade is arguably the project that's most likely to lay the groundwork for any sort of supernatural team-up.
Yesterday, we learned that Blade is no longer set to be released next November. With it now undated, it feels like a matter of time before Mahershala Ali leaves the reboot due to "creative differences" or "scheduling issues."
