Thomas Baraka DiCandia, originally from Port Washington, New York, relocated to California in the 1990's and built a successful recording studio.
Also known as "Baraka", he was an accomplished guitarist, music engineer, and produced gold records by artists including Weezer, Manhattan Transfer, and LIVE. He was also a movie editor and sound mixer known for Swing (2003), Changing Hearts (2002), and Benny Bliss and the Disciples of Greatness (2009), in which he also co-starred in a supporting role. He died on January 30, 2012 in Northridge, California, USA.
