Basil is a Saudi Arabian actor born in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. He grew up living in Saudi Arabia and the United States of America. The Saudi actor got his first taste of acting at the age of 8 at Al Azizyah Schools theater in Al Khobar. Since then, he has fallen in love with performing in front of people. His potential was spotted in 2008 at an acting workshop and made his professional theatrical debut at the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts in Dammam, getting glowing reviews praising his acting and body language skills. Throughout middle and high school, he participated in numerous productions at school, community theatre, YouTube, Saudi Arabia's Association of Cultures and Arts, King Fahd Cultural Center, and King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture Ithra. He has precisely acted in several plays, films, and series. His love for acting has blossomed as he has found life in his art.
At the age of 18, he continued his higher education majoring in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, and received his bachelor's degree from Widener University, Pennsylvania, USA. Upon his graduation in 2018, his lifelong passion and vision pulled him to move to Los Angeles, CA to pursue his acting career. He, at best, acted, produced, and directed multiple films and theatre productions. He subsequently appeared in notable roles on screen, playing the relentless broker Honrae in the TV series The Women on Wall Street; Pilot: Thick Grit (2020), the fisherman in the film They Know the Way (2020), and other independent films. On stage, he had appeared in the plays Alice in Wonderland, Animal Farm, Mariam and the story returns, and Not in the Woods, among other work.
Throughout the years living in Saudi and U.S., he took various courses, such as acting techniques, Improv, directing, script writing, body language, and stunts/stage combat. In addition, he had been a member of the National Youth Theatre of London and Theatre 68 of Los Angeles where he took several workshops and certificates. Under his belt, he has carried several techniques, such as Stanislavski's Method, The Meisner, The Chubbuck, The Adler, and Practical Aesthetics, to name a few. His drive, multicultural background, and fluent English/Arabic languages have been his companions on his journey. As a lifelong learner of his craft and a student of human nature, he continues to learn from everything he partakes in.
In 2022, Basil moved back to his home country and landed a starring role in the largest-ever budgeted Saudi production "Rise of the Witches" (2023) TV series. He plays prince of the blue jinn, Azraq/Blue. Presently, he is on the map and trail-blazing in the film industry.
