Who knew The Big Bang Theory could trip up one of its smartest characters so badly? Amy Farrah Fowler, the brilliant scientist we all loved for her quirky charm, got hit with a storyline that made fans do a double take. In one unforgettable episode, her brainy, lovable persona took a bizarre detour into backstabbing territory.

Back in 2021, ten "Live Long and Prosper" pendant necklaces were sent to space aboard a Blue Origin rocket. They were donated by Julie Nimoy and David Knight. Since their return, five of the pendants have been awarded to individuals, including Whoopi Goldberg, who was the most recent recipient, Mayim Bialik, Billie Jean King, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and LeVar Burton. And now, one of the coveted pendants is being made available for auction by Propstore Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction on November 14. Although the auction for other memorabilia will extend through November17, bidding for the pendant will only be available on the 14th. [via Trekmovie]

Move over, spoiler-phobes. As much as the internet and anti-spoiler crowd have changed the entire way we talk about movies in recent years, those days might be officially behind us. Another contender has entered the ring and seems fully intent on battling for the title of Chief Arbiter of Film Discourse. For anyone who ever considered the state of the movie industry and thought that notorious sticklers for detail like Neil DeGrasse Tyson should be ruling the roost -- looking at you, my freshman history professor whose name I'm mercifully withholding -- we have great news. Welcome to the dawn of a new age, one where we finally end the scourge of fiction that dares to stray too far from fact in the pursuit of entertainment. No fun allowed around these parts, folks!
Okay, so it's not really as dramatic as all that, but tell that to some actual historians...

NASA could have used Interstellar’s accurate Black Hole (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Here’s where things get wild. Remember that insane scene where our heroes circle the black hole, Gargantua? Yeah, that wasn’t just sci-fi fluff. With Thorne’s help, the movie went full Einstein, nailing the concept of gravitational time dilation—where time slows down around massive gravitational fields. Ever wonder why the crew returned decades older after visiting a planet close to the black hole? Because time near Gargantua was being twisted into a pretzel by gravity. All that confusion and wonder? Blame the physics.
Thorne didn’t just talk the talk; he walked the walk. He used actual equations from General Relativity to craft Gargantua’s appearance, making the black hole’s visual effects so spot-on that, years later, real-life black hole images looked much like the movies’.

The universe of Marvel cinematic entertainment allows fans to imagine a world where science, technology, close encounters of the third kind, xenology, and theology can all co-exist in unison. But when it comes to the real world, black holes might not be too believable a thing for the realm of science and reason. Or at least, the ex-Iron Man star Terrence Howard happens to think so.

Music star Keith Urban is regarded as one of the best country artists of all time. From earning several Grammy wins to collaborating with major artists, music is truly his calling. Which makes the subject in school that he failed that much more surprising.
Did Keith Urban Fail Music Class?
Keith recently appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show as both a guest and a performer. During his segment, Kelly asked him if he remembered a music teacher that made an impact on him.
Urban responded by shouting out his tenth grade music teacher Mrs. Grimmer. He shared that he struggled with learning music theory, and that the theory was a requirement to pass the class.

Mrs. Grimmer attempted to bypass this rule by creating a play for the students to perform in instead. However, the performance didn’t count and Keith failed music class that year.

Morehouse graduate Edwin Moses, one of the greatest athletes of all time, will return to his alma mater next month for a unique occasion. The two-time Olympic champion in the 400-meter hurdles is expected on campus in Atlanta for the world premiere of Moses – 13 Steps, a documentary about his life on and off the track that will close the 6th annual Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival.
The film, directed by Michael Wech and executive produced by a group including Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary, documents a man who holds a track and field record that may never be broken: For nine years, nine months and nine days Moses went unbeaten in the 400-meter hurdles, between 1977 and 1987. The other month, author George R.R. Martin criticized how both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon depicted dragons on their heraldry. To wit: some sigils on both shows depict dragons as having four legs. But in his Song of Ice and Fire books as well as in his book Fire & Blood, Martin is clear that dragon sigils only ever have two legs. "Someone got sloppy, I guess," Martin wrote. "Or someone opened a book on heraldry, and read just enough of it to muck it all up. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing."
This is a small quibble, but Martin feels passionate about it. It's part of his bigger goal of writing a fantasy series that nonetheless feels grounded in reality. "One thing that I've gotten a little bit of controversy in lately is my insistence that dragons only have two legs," he said during a talk at the Oxford Writers House.

Roger Vadim's 1968 sci-fi freak-out "Barbarella" is one of the zestiest, sexist, strangest, and most amusing pictures the genre has to offer. Set in the 41st century, "Barbarella" follows the merry caprices of the title heroine (Jane Fonda), a freelance adventurer of the cosmos. Barbarella, frequently undressed, is assigned by the President of Earth (Claude Dauphin) to track down a mysterious, missing scientist named Durand-Durand (Milo O'Shea) who has invented an all-powerful weapon called the positronic ray.
During her quest, Barbarella is attacked by killer dolls, befriends a blind angel (John Philip Law), is forced into a deadly orgasm machine (although she can outlast its mechanical manipulations), and faces off against the Black Queen, the tyrant ruler of Sogo.
The film was based on the erotic comics by Jean-Claude Forest, and possesses all the same sexual energy as the aggressively naughty original, even if it's not quite as sexually explicit.

Time is flying faster than Rhaenys fell to her death this season on “House of the Dragon,” which is to say, wow, somehow the Season 2 finale of the “Game of Thrones” spin-off is already upon us.
Despite multiple clips leaking on social media earlier this week after what HBO referred to as an “unintentional release from an international third-party distributor,” the finale (airing Sunday at 9/8 on HBO and Max) is still the most anticipated watch of the weekend that isn’t related to the Summer Olympics. In the penultimate episode, Emma D’Arcy’s Queen Rhaenyra was last seen gathering an unconventional group of dragonriders — including a blacksmith and a drunk — to set the stage for the finale’s major conflict with Aemond (Ewan Mitchell), who fled to King’s Landing when he saw Rhaenyra’s growing forces. If you’ve read the source material, you likely know how this will end.

Channing Tatum can’t recall the first scene he and Scarlett Johansson filmed together for “Fly Me to the Moon.” He does, however, remember where they first met: at a table read for the romantic comedy.
Although Tatum and Johansson were both involved in the films “Don Jon” and “Hail, Caeser!,” the two actors “never crossed paths,” as Tatum puts it, until “Fly Me to the Moon.”

Terrence Howard has had a splendid career in Hollywood so far. In ‘Deep Space Homer’, a 1994 episode of The Simpsons, the American space agency NASA takes an unusual approach to astronaut recruitment. “We need a fresh angle to get the public interested!” says one NASA official in the episode. “The public see our astronauts as clean-cut, athletic go-getters…They hate people like that.” NASA eventually decide to send a “blue-collar slob” (such as Homer Simpson) to space. Another official pipes up: “I suggest a lengthy, inefficient search — at the taxpayers’ expense, of course.”
That, broadly speaking, is also the plot of Space Cadet, yet another example of the ‘Simpsons Already Did It’ doctrine. It's practically impossible to talk about Mimi Leder's 1998 comet-based disaster film "Deep Impact" without also cursorily mentioning Michael Bay's 1998 comet-based disaster film "Armageddon." Leder's film was released on May 8, and was presented as a stern and realistic view of what might happen to the Earth if a massive, Mount Everest-sized comet struck. Bay's film was released on July 1, and presented a much more cartoony, ultra-macho version of the same story, this time with a comet the size of Texas. The former was about somber politicians planning for the worst, the latter was about muscular, blue-collar miners flying into space. Curiously, both films were hits; "Deep Impact" made $350 million on a budget of $80 million, and "Armageddon" made over $550 million on a budget of $140 million.

Happy anniversary to the Writers Guild of America strike! On May 2, 2023, Hollywood writers officially put their pencils down in an effort to bring compensation closer in line with the revenues generated by their movies and TV shows. A steadfast refusal by studios to engage with writers on some issues led the strike to be prolonged, and eventually, the Screen Actors Guild joined the work stoppage as well.

Thede, Hale, and Tyson each guess a letter that only has one space on the board, and Thede cracks up the audience when she sarcastically says “cool” in response to the excess of blank spaces. Hale gives a throwaway guess with “mandarine oranges,” and Tyson has no ideas for what the puzzle could read. When it’s Thede’s turn again, she guesses an “a,” of which there are two in the puzzle.

Audiences love a bit of history. Kings, Queens, dates, battles, all of that stuff. And a big part of the fun in watching a historical drama is knowing that you are watching a version of events that have actually happened. Yes, there might not be any material evidence that J. Robert Oppenheimer’s wife was imagining him having sex with his mistress during his private security hearing, but enough of the other details are right that we don’t know for certain she didn’t.
We like learning about the small personal dramas behind the big events, and seeing how people lived and loved and worked in an age before laptops and phones. Audiences want to connect with something real. And if those historical dramas don’t get all of the details exactly right, then that’s fine too! Some people get annoyed at Neil DeGrasse Tyson-style pedantry, but...

Neil deGrasse Tyson and Stephen Colbert spent the majority of Tyson’s appearance on The Late Show debating worms — Sandworms to be exact.
The astrophysicist and the self-proclaimed Dune superfan began their conversation with Colbert recounting that he and Tyson were both at the Dune: Part Two premiere in New York City last month and watched the screening together.
“I would say it’s perfect. What do you think, Neil? There are no errors. Go on, Neil,” the late night host began, to which the scientist responded, “I have some issues.”
Tyson explained that the film takes place in the sand dunes on the planet of Arrakis. The dunes are home to massive, very hungry sandworms that will appear wherever a thumper — a device that sends repeated vibrations through the sand — is placed.
“Somebody didn’t do the research on that,” he stated. When Colbert asked if that’s because...

Amber Rose recently interviewed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson on her podcast and triggered a hilarious response from the scientist with a pseudoscience question. Rose chose to ask one astrology question to Tyson of all people, who literally lost it at the mention of it. While the scientific community backed Tyson in his funny outburst, the astrology supporters in the comments were pretty disappointed in him.
Neil deGrasse Tyson in a conversation with Bill Moyers on the latter’s show
Amber Rose asked Tyson whether he believed in concepts like Mercury in retrograde, which the astrologers believe influences the moods of people. Tyson was quick to dismiss it, even drawing an analogy that would perfectly explain the pseudoscience behind it.

Jennifer Lopez recently made a big comeback in her career with the release of This Is Me… Now (a follow-up to her 2002 album This Is Me… Then), and a movie of the same title.
Though the film is loosely based on J.Lo’s experiences in multiple romantic relationships, it is a fictionalized narrative (presenting a semi-autobiographical story).

It has been ten years since Jennifer Lopez released her last album, A.K.A., in 2014. Now, the singer is back with her ninth studio album titled, This Is Me…Now. She will also be going on a concert tour to promote the album. If the album and the tour were not enough for her fans, Jennifer Lopez is also starring in an actual movie, This Is Me…Now: A Love Story, which will be based on her recent album.

The film is going to be as star-studded as possible with artists like Post Malone, Keke Palmer, and even Neil deGrasse Tyson having some cameo or the other. However, some big names in the industry were approached to be a part of the romantic drama but refused the offer citing one reason or the other. As Jennifer Lopez addressed this exact thing, she...

Jennifer Lopez has been making a lot of headlines recently as she released her ninth studio album, This is Me…Now earlier this month. Her studio album is only the first part of a three-part project and the second part is a musical film titled This Is Me…Now: A Love Story which covers a fictionalized version of J.Lo and Ben Affleck’s love story.

Jennifer Lopez’s This Is Me…Now: A Love Story has a lot of cameos
This is Me…Now is Jennifer Lopez‘s ninth studio album and is also a sequel to the singer’s 3rd album, This is Me…Then. However, Jennifer Lopez has pulled out all stops considering this is her first album in the last 10 years, and made it into a three-part project. The first part is the musical album that is allegedly based on and influenced by J.

When Jennifer Lopez started working on This Is Me… Now, she knew a lot of people wouldn’t get the full concept at first. Yes, she was planning an album that would be a direct sequel to her 2002 LP This Is Me… Then, an album she wrote when she was first falling in love with Ben Affleck, who she reconnected with and married almost exactly 20 years later. But she also wanted to pair the music with an out-of-the-box film that would capture the romantic journey she’d been on over the last two decades.

Jennifer Lopez has spent the better part of her career navigating the two halves of her public persona: Bronx-born girl next door “Jenny from the block” and Hollywood power player “J.Lo.” Though much of the tension between the two has been amplified by media coverage that spans calculated marketing campaigns and inescapable paparazzi scrutiny, Lopez has frequently seemed to capitulate to whichever of the two serves her best at the time.
“This is Me…Now: A Love Story” is, on its face, the visual component of her self-funded ninth studio album, and at a reported $20 million price tag it’s easy to see it first and foremost as an advertisement. But as not only the subject but star, co-writer and executive producer of an interlinked series of music videos, Lopez showcases above all else how tough it is to express oneself personally after more than 30 years in the public eye,...

[Editor’s note: This following article spoils the ending of “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story.” We promise you, this doesn’t matter.]
For Ben Affleck fans who thought his small role as Phil Knight in “Air” just needed to be a little Bigger, Prime Video has a film for you.
And yet, “film” isn’t exactly the right word. The 65-minute “narrative-driven cinematic odyssey” (press release’s words) for Jennifer Lopez’s wannabe-“Lemonade,” “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,” follows her search for love, set alongside music videos for several songs off her new album of the same name (also out today!). It’s a bombastic, simplistic misfire.
Opening with a Puerto Rican myth about roses and hummingbirds, viewers are treated to J.Lo working in a steampunk love factory (complete with a giant mechanical heart about to explode!) and a fictionalized-but-clearly-autobiographical tale about realizing she’s a love addict. She’s searching for love in several doomed marriages, before learning the person she really needs to love is…herself.

In the summer of 2022, Netflix released “Halftime,” a glossy, shiny, and intermittently revelatory documentary focused on global icon Jennifer Lopez. That offering found unexpected (if highly unrelatable) pathos in the star’s distress over not being nominated for an Oscar for her (quite good) turn in “Hustlers.” Just twenty months later, and yet another streamer is now releasing its own glossy, shiny, and intermittently revelatory film project focused on global icon Jennifer Lopez. The pathos, though? That’s mostly missing, but certainly not for lack of trying.
The project comes from the mind of Lopez herself, who also co-financed the effort. It’s clunkily titled (and punctuated) as “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,” linking it inextricably with Lopez’s latest studio album, which just so happens to be dropping the same day as its “cinematic” component. Synergy!

On her 2002 album This is Me…Then, Jennifer Lopez included a song addressing Ben Affleck. “Dear Ben” is a confession and a love letter to Affleck, whom the singer met and started dating during the shooting of the film Gigli. The album was released two weeks after the pair’s engagement. The song ends with a now melancholic coda: “There’s no way I’d leave you / It’s just not a reality / Sometimes I feel like I’m living in a fantasy.” A year later, after Lopez and Affleck postponed their wedding, the pair broke up.
More than 20 years later, Lopez’s life looks different. She’s even more established in her career, she’s a mother of two teenagers and she remarried the love of her life. Three years ago, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their relationship, becoming proof of the adage “right person, wrong time.” To commemorate this...

The excitement among Jennifer Lopez’s fans on the release of This Is Me…Now: A Love Story, which showcases the meaning of love and self-love from the diva’s perspective, is quite high. Adding her touch of elegance, the actress has an interesting take on how this film was made. She created an album by the same name but did not want to take the conventional route for the album launch. Taking help from her dear friend, Dave Meyer (director), she visualised her perception and idea of love and started writing a script, which then resulted in – This is Me…Now: A Love Story premiering on February 16 on Prime Video.
Speaking about what ignited the idea of This is Me…Now: A Love Story, Lopez said, “There wasn’t a time where I was like, “Oh, I’m going to do this at some point in my life.” This...

Jennifer Lopez took on an enormous challenge with This is Me … Now: A Love Story, the “narrative driven, cinematic original” film that hits Prime Video this week. It wasn’t the singing, acting or intricate choreography featured in the 65-minute musical, as the multihyphenate can do all of that in her sleep. The real hurdle arose when the money disappeared and Lopez opted to open her wallet to pay for the whole thing.
“Everybody thought I was crazy when I said I would do it. We did have financing, and then that fell out. They pulled out at the last minute, and then it was that moment where you go, ‘Ok, do we just make a video or do we go ahead and do this thing?'” explained the 54-year-old entertainer during an interview at the Four Seasons Los Angeles in Beverly Hills while sitting alongside her Nuyorican Prods. producing partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas.
