Tall, skeletal Austrian character actor, first on stage at the Neuen Wiener Bühne from 1919 to 1922. Member of the ensemble of the Deutschen Theater in Berlin from 1934 to 1945, also a cabaret performer and prolific in films during this period and into the 1950's and 60's. Had a penchant for eccentric characterisations.

The actor Bruno Hübner began his career at the theater and entered the film business in the middle of the 30's. There he soon became a busy support actor.

The television played a more important role for his career in the 60's.
