Pippa is a multi award winning writer and actor. a content creator & voice artist. She also directs, produces and rides a Triumph. Based in London and LA, she is a dual UK/US citizen, part of the 2019/20 BAFTA Crew scheme, a member of the Writers Guild, Equity and SAG-AFTRA.
She writes and creates female centric comedy and drama across all formats and media.
Pippa grew up in England and South Africa and went to school with Americans, so she's messed up but really versatile. Having lived in the US for the past few years and also being in a 'mixed' marriage, she can now claim to have witnessed 3 different brands of racism on 3 separate continents. Which is nice. An actor since her teens, Pippa's first role was as Ann Burden in the original BBC two-handed post apocalypic film, Z FOR ZACHARIAH. Since then she has appeared in dozens of TV, film, theatre and radio productions but is best known for series regular stint as Superbitch Elaine Fenwick in CORONATION STREET, or Shaz in cult kids BBC comedy series, HANGAR 17. She also made a splash as Anna the demon Dutch girl in Michael Palin's classic film, EAST OF IPSWICH, Joyce in WW2 comedy-drama AND A NIGHTINGALE SANG, and Fergie in NBC's imaginatively titled royal movie, FERGIE & ANDREW. On STAGE she's had leading roles at many UK reps from Shakespeare to Neil Simon. She has been directed several times by Sir Alan Ayckbourn, including COMIC POTENTIAL, as well as NOISES OFF and BUS STOP in the West End & DEAD FUNNY at Chichester.
Pippa's first writing credits were comedy sketches for multi award winning SMACK THE PONY, NO LIMIT (Sky), and Newsrevue (London's long running live satire show). Since doing her screenwriting MA at LCC, she has writing credits for TV, short films and web series (SONY UK) the groundbreaking plot- interactive teen drama, SOPHIA'S DIARY, as well as Edinburgh and LA Comedy Fest sketch shows, one woman show, DESTINATION ELEVATION (Pleasance and Soho Theatre) and several short plays. Pippa has performed her own skecth and stand-up material at The Comedy Store, Improv and LA Comedy festival. She's been optioned and commissioned for features and TV by eOne, BBC, Radio 4, RHI/Hallmark, Screen Australia and others. Her screenplays have won or been a finalist in many top contests inc. The Page, Austen, Screencraft, Thruline, Roadmap, LA Int Screenplay Comp, and BBC writersroom. In the last 2 years her historical psychological chiller ONE WHITE CROW was selected for the Mery Strrep/Nicole Kidman backed Wtriters Lab and optioned by Boheamia Prods in LA and her comedy UP YOURS BRIDGET JONES was a finalist in the Natiinal Lampoon reboot Comedy feature contest. Her short KILLING CHRISTMAS which she wrote, produced and acted in has been selected fpr over a dozen international festivals and won BEST INTERNATIONAL SHORT (Tweetfest), BEST HOLIDAY SHORT (London Int Short Film Fest) BEST PERFORMANCES for Pippa and co-star Max Lictig (wildSOUND, Canada) and nominated for Best Screenplay (Emerging Artists LA) which is still to be announced.
