Pled no contest to two counts of attempted murder for the 2000 shooting of her ex-husband
Garrett Warren. She allegedly, along with her brother, hired a hit man to kill Warren, but when Warren miraculously survived the attack, she allegedly hired another hit man to finish the job. The second attack never took place, and Haro was arrested in 2005. She pleaded no contest to two counts of attempted murder and a principal firearm charge for the attempted murder of Warren and in April 2012 was sentenced to 12 years 4 months in prison. She served her sentence at the California Institution for Women in Corona, CA. She was released in August 2019.
