- He received the nickname Fieldy when he was younger and he had large chipmunk cheeks. People used to call him 'Gopher', then 'Garr', then 'Garfield' then finally, 'Fieldy'.

- Fieldy's signature is his "scooped out" style of playing, emphasizing the low and high ends of the bass while virtually ignoring the middle range. This has been controversial among bass aficionados but is integral to Korn's unique sound.
