Biography

Michael Farnsworth was born on November 4, 1941 in Yarm, Yorkshire, England. Farnsworth was educated at Derby Grammar School and received his medical training and degree at Birmingham University in England. Michael was an actor mostly on British television from 1967 to 1971 before going on to pursue a career in the medical field. Farnsworth practiced in Durham, England prior to moving to Winnipeg, Canada in 1981. Michael also was involved in teaching at the University of Manitoba in the Department of Family Medicine. Farnsworth died at age 46 on February 4, 1988 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Canada. He was the husband of Prue Farnsworth as well as the father of children Lucy, Mark, Michael, and Alexander. At the time of his death Michael was also survived by his mother and brother John.
