Max is in danger, and Chris is unconscious.
For a series on its last episode after a recent cancellation order, CSI: Vegas threw viewers straight into the action from the opening scene.
As fans say goodbye to the CSI team we've grown fond of for the last three years, CSI: Vegas Season 3 Episode 10 gave fans a conflicting farewell.
The revolving theme for this season has been the AI robots. Max still has Ocho in her lab from CSI: Vegas Season 3 Episode 5, "It Was Automation."
So, naturally, everyone believed the bad guy they were after was the company's founder, Truman Thomas.
But on the last episode of the series, fans got the best misdirect we've seen in a while.

“CSI” Og Marg Helgenberger will return to the role of Catherine Willows for “CSI: Vegas” this fall, a continuation of CBS’ long-running forensics crime franchise, and on Friday the actress revealed part of the reason you’ll see her back is because she missed her character.
“When I left, midway through Season 12 of the original series, I needed to step back because I played the role for so long, and it had become such a part of my life that I felt she had become a part of my identity a little bit,” the actress said during CBS’ presentation at the Television Critics Association virtual summer press tour. “Having that perspective of being away from her and then coming back and in a big way as this, I did miss her actually. I missed her; I missed her passion; I missed her swagger; I missed her spunk.”

That all got wrapped up far too neatly.
Anson Wix's grand plan came unraveled too far quickly on CSI: Vegas Season 1 Episode 10.
That's somewhat understandable. CSI: Vegas was billed as a limited series, and CBS hasn't announced a renewal for another season. And nothing annoys viewers more than a cancellation following a cliffhanger.
But it had been hinted throughout the season that there was something more to this conspiracy framing David Hodges than just one greedy lawyer with a grudge.
And, in the end, there's wasn't. So that whole storyline now feels a little lacking.
There was no former villain seeking revenge or some criminal mastermind trying to bring down the Crime Lab. Today's viewers expect complexity, and this wasn't that.
Instead, it was simply a textbook example of how to follow the evidence, step by step by step. You could view that as vintage CSI or you could look...

William Petersen was hospitalized last week due to exhaustion on the set of CBS’s upcoming series “CSI: Las Vegas,” TheWrap has learned.
The Emmy-nominated actor, who is reprising his role as Gil Grissom for the latest installment in the “CSI” franchise, became ill on set and an ambulance was called out of an abundance of caution to take Petersen to a hospital where he was then admitted, according to TMZ. The actor has since recovered and been released from the hospital.
“He was hospitalized due to extreme exhaustion due to long hours on set for the past 12 weeks,” a spokesperson for Petersen said to TheWrap Monday. Petersen’s rep noted that the incident is not related to Covid-19.
Representatives for Petersen and CBS Studios, which produces the “CSI” franchise, did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment Monday on Petersen’s hospitalization and the circumstances surrounding him...

While CBS has been renewing and canceling series for weeks now, the future for MacGyver never seemed to be in question.
Until now.
The network made the stunning decision Wednesday night, according to Deadline, meaning that the upcoming MacGyver Season 5 finale will serve as its series finale.
“All of us at CBS are extremely grateful for the incredible work and dedication from Lucas and the rest of the cast, as well as Monica, the writers and the entire crew,” said Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment, in a statement to Deadline.
“The MacGyver team traveled far and wide to repeatedly save the world with little more than bubble gum and a paper clip and made this show distinctly their own."

Exclusive: Angus MacGyver will soon be taking on his last mission. The CBS action drama, a reimagining of the 1985 series, is coming to an end. MacGyver‘s five-season run will conclude with a series finale, which will air Friday, April 30, in the show’s regular 8 Pm time slot.
Starring Lucas Till as the ingenious title character, an undercover government agent with strong engineering skills, MacGyver has averaged a respectable 5.85 million viewers and a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating (most current) this season under new showrunner Monica Macer. Since its September 23, 2016 launch, the series has had the thankless job of opening CBS’ Friday lineup at 8 Pm, providing solid lead-in to Hawaii Five-0/Magnum P.I. at 9 Pm and Blue Bloods at 10 Pm.

As CBS’ revival of “CSI” is nearing a series pickup, three actors have been added to the cast. Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria and Mel Rodriguez are joining the project, which would revive the series more than 20 years after it debuted in 2000.
Though multiple outlets reported Friday that the “CSI” revival was closing in on a straight-to-series order, CBS declined to comment on its status. Original “CSI” stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox have also been rumored to appear on the revival, but that has not been confirmed.
The show’s creative team, including Anthony Zuiker and Jerry Bruckheimer, are returning for the revival.

CBS is nearing a series order for what would be an event-series revival of crime-lab procedural “CSI,” with Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria and Mel Rodriguez joining the cast, according to a source familiar with the matter.
The Anthony Zuiker and Jerry Bruckheimer series, which aired from 2000-2015, was a longtime hit for the broadcaster. Centering on the crime-solvers of the Las Vegas Crime Lab, the original cast starred William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, George Eads, Gary Dourdan, Jorja Fox, Paul Guilfoyle, Robert David Hall, and Eric Szmanda. In later seasons, Laurence Fishburne and Ted Danson succeeded Petersen in the lead role.
This iteration has added Newsome, a longtime film, TV and stage actor. She is most recently known for her performance opposite Henry Winkler and Bill Hader as detective Janice Moss in HBO’s “Barry,” as well as a 12-episode arc on NBC’s “Chicago Med.” Other television credits include “City of Angels,...

CBS’ CSI event series has been quietly moving forward, I have learned. William Petersen and Jorja Fox are in negotiations to star in CSI: Vegas, which serves as a sequel to the mothership CSI series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Casting is under way for four new characters who will join Petersen’s Gil Grissom and Fox’s Sara Sidle. Petersen also is expected to serve as an executive producer. Although CSI: Vegas has not been officially ordered, its filming is eyed to begin in the fall when Covid conditions permit for Hollywood production to safely resume.
As Deadline revealed in February when the potential CSI followup was in preliminary stages of deal-making and development, the project comes from writer Jason Tracey (Elementary), CBS TV Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer TV. The original idea was for the event series to mark the 20th anniversary of the mothership series’ premiere this coming October.

“CSI” could be coming back to CBS.
Variety has confirmed with sources that the broadcaster is eyeing a potential event series revival of the megahit show, which aired on the network from 2000-2015. The project is in the very early development stages and no original cast members are currently attached.
The idea would be to release the new installment in time for the show’s 20th anniversary in October, but no deals are in place as of yet. Original series creator Anthony Zuiker is in talks along with executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer and the show’s creative team. Jason Tracey would write the script. Tracey most recently worked on the CBS series “Elementary” in addition to shows like “Burn Notice” and “Cold Case.”
CBS and CBS Television Studios declined to comment.
“CSI” proved to be a breakout hit for CBS, drawing massive ratings for the network and quickly becoming one of TV’s most-watched shows.

One of television’s biggest drama series franchises is plotting a comeback. I hear CBS is mulling a CSI event series to mark the 20th anniversary of the original series’ October 2000 premiere. The idea is for new installment, from writer Jason Tracey (Elementary), CBS TV Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer TV, to be set in Las Vegas and be a sequel to the mothership CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, sources said. The hope is that the new incarnation would feature original cast members. I hear William Petersen, who headlined CSI for its first nine seasons, and fellow original star Jorja Fox have been approached, but no formal offers have been made.
Sources stress that no deals for the potential CSI revival are done, and that the project is still in early stages and may not come together within a reasonable financial framework. Reps for CBS and CBS TV Studios declined comment.

This was a critical point in the Korean War and these young men entered battle on the frontlines of Jangsari beach with “little ammunition, low food supplies and second-hand weapons.” The film tells the stories of these forgotten heroes of the Korean War.
The film comes from director Kyung-taek Kwak, and the cast includes Kim Myung-Min, Minho Choi, Sung-Cheol Kim, In-kwon Kim, Si-Yang Kwak, George Eads, and Megan Fox.

Seoul-based sales firm Finecut has picked up international rights to the “The Battle of Jangsari,” a Korean-produced war action film starring Megan Fox and the K-pop star Choi Min-ho and star of Netflix film “Illang: The Wolf Brigade.”
“Jangsari” is directed by renowned Korean filmmaker Kwak Kyung-taek (“Friend”) and Kim Tae-hun, with production by Taewon Entertainment, and presentation by Warner Bros. Pictures Korea. Taewon previously produced 2016 hit “Operation Chromite,” another Korean War movie, which starred Liam Neeson as U.S. Gen. Douglas MacArthur.
“Jangsari” depicts the 1950 Jangsa Marine landing operation during the Korean War. It involved 772 student soldiers — whose average age was 17 and had only received two weeks of boot camp training — who were deployed to pave the way for the larger Incheon Landing Operation, which was led by MacArthur and turned the tide of war against communist-backed forces from the North.
Fox depicts Marguerite Higgins, a war correspondent for the New York Herald Tribune.

Last year, the MacGyver TV show dropped significantly in the ratings, particularly in the demo, where its rank slipped to 19th out of the 26 scripted CBS TV series we tracked. While that weaker performance might see many shows cancelled, the CBS audience skews older and in terms of total viewership, it ranked 11th. Now that it is back for a third season, can it regain its lost viewers, or even attract new ones? Will MacGyver be cancelled or renewed for season four? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A CBS action-adventure series, MacGyver stars Lucas Till, George Eads, Tristin Mays, Justin Hires, and Meredith Eaton. The reimagined drama centers on Angus "Mac" MacGyver (Till), a 20-something adventurer. Mac creates a secret organization within the Us government. There, he uses his vast scientific knowledge and extraordinary talent for unconventional problem solving to save the world.

CBS has ordered MacGyver Season 4 along with a whole host of other renewals.
No MacGyver-ing necessary this time around. CBS has ordered MacGyver Season 4. And yes, we made the same "MacGyver-ing" joke for the MacGyver Season 3 renewal but was else were we supposed to do - not open with a dumb joke?
The MacGyver renewal is one of many for CBS, which tends to renew most of its shows as once. MacGyver is one of six shows renewed, along with Madame Secretary, Seal Team, Swat, Bull, and Hawaii Five-0. Those shows will join the previously announced NCIS (all three iterations), Blue Bloods, FBI, God Friended Me, Criminal Minds, Young Sheldon, Mom, and The Neighborhood in CBS's 2019-20 TV season.
Of the many shows announced for new seasons, MacGyver Season 4 was among the least likely to hapen. Despite the MacGyver brand having a solid name recognition,...

Exclusive: Levy Tran has been cast in a major recurring role on CBS’ action drama series MacGyver. She plays a new character that would help fill the void left by the departure of series co-lead George Eads.
Tran, whose first episode airs February 15, will play Desiree Nguyen (Desi), who joins the Phoenix Foundation to protect MacGyver (Lucas Till) and his team on their global missions.
As CBS often does on its shows, Tran is joining as a recurring. If the introduction of her character is successful and if MacGyver is renewed for a fourth season, CBS and producing studio CBS TV Studios have an option to make her a series regular and potential new co-lead opposite Till.

As usual, Fox’s Last Man Standing won the Friday night ratings demo wars, but the farewell to actor George Eads on CBS’s MacGyver proved to be a strong audience draw as well.
Last Man Standing returned from a two-week hiatus to cop a 1.1/6 and 6 million viewers to lead the Friday demographics, a slight drop from the show’s last airing.
But MacGyver also had a solid night, scoring 0.8/4 and 6.99 million viewers in the 8 Pm slot as it bid farewell to co-lead George Eads.
Trailing in the hour were ABC’s Fresh Off The Boat, NBC’s Blindspot (0.5/3 and 3.86 million down a tenth)) and The CW’s Dynasty (0.2/1 and 0.64).
The rest of Fox’s night saw The Cool Kids down a tenth (0.9/4 and 4.69 million) while Hell’s Kitchen was up a tenth to 0.8/4 and 3.05 million.
CBS rode the MacGyver momentum for a steady night, with Hawaii...

It was goodbye to Jack Dalton on tonight’s MacGyver episode, as the co-leader of the Phoenix Foundation departed the show.
In real life, actor George Eads (Dalton) was announced last year as leaving the action series, which he has appeared in since the pilot. Eads has been released from his series contract.
Spoiler Alert: Do Not Read Further If You Haven’T Watched Tonight’S Episode
Tonight’s episode, Father + Bride + Betrayal, spent most of its time dealing with a story other than Dalton’s departure. It seems an international crime boss, Alonzo Olvera, is offering Phoenix director of operations Matty a deal she can’t refuse – he’ll surrender himself into her custody, along with information on his criminal activities, if he’s allowed to return to the United States to attend his daughter’s wedding.
MacGyver and the team crash the wedding to ensure the crime lord doesn’t run,...

At the summer TCA press tour in August, CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl faced a barrage of questions about the network’s culture just days after the first story about allegations of past sexual misconduct against CBS CEO Leslie Moonves came out. At the same event, Kahl also revealed that the network was in preliminary talks with Warner Bros TV about a 13th season of its biggest show, The Big Bang Theory.
A lot has changed since then. Moonves was fired after an investigation following more stories about alleged inappropriate behavior, and The Big Bang Theory producers opted to end the series after 12 seasons when co-lead Jim Parsons indicated he would not continue.
While CBS, along with a couple of other networks, is not doing do an executive session at the winter TCA, Kahl answered some programming questions, addressing the end of Big Bang Theory, possible replacements and spinoffs, as...
