Dianne Collins has over 20 years of experience securing media coverage for celebrity clients and films. Among the talent she has worked with are Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, Joe Pesci, Campbell Scott, Abel Ferrara, Oliver Stone, Melvin Van Peebles, Tom Cruise, Meryl Steep, Mary Steenburgen, Demi Moore, Robbie Robertson, Paul Schrader, Aaron Eckhardt, Rob Lowe, and Neil LaButte, booking them on shows including The Today Show, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show, as well as securing interviews with major print outlets including The New York Times, Daily News, New York Post, USA Today, LA Times, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and Seattle Intelligencer.
After working on Scorsese and DeNiro's iconic Taxi Driver, Dianne began her career in film publicity at legendary M/S Billings Publicity, where she rose to the position of Vice President/Publicity. There she oversaw premieres, special screenings, press junkets, and national publicity campaigns for films including The Last Emperor, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino, Cape Fear, The Color of Money, The Age of Innocence, The Last Waltz, The Last Temptation of Christ, Born on the Fourth of July, JFK, Nixon, Natural Born Killers, Platoon, Wall Street China Girl, Hoosiers, Cat People, King of New York, The Addiction, Fatal Attraction and Kramer Vs. Kramer; and handled publicity for directors and actors including Tom Cruise, Robert De Niro, Abel Ferrara, Richard Gere, Joe Pesci, Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, and Meryl Streep. She also served as the Unit Publicist on Casino, Picture Perfect, and A Bronx Tale, directed by Robert DeNiro.
Following M/S Billings Publicity, she worked as Vice President of Acquisitions for the Gabriel Film Group, overseeing their acquisition and release of The Simian Line (written and directed by Linda Yellen, starring Harry Connick, Jr., Cindy Crawford, Tyne Daly, William Hurt, Samantha Mathis, Lynn Redgrave, and Eric Stolz); Vice President of Publicity at Manhattan Pictures, where she oversaw campaigns for the release of In Praise of Love (directed by Jean-Luc Godard), Enigma (directed by Michael Apted, starring Dougray Scott and Kate Winslet), and The Secret Lives of Dentists (directed by Alan Rudolph, starring Campbell Scott, Denis Leary, and Hope Davis).
Since 2005, Ms. Collins has been a freelance publicist and marketing consultant for numerous film projects, including IFC Entertainment's documentary Dust to Glory (written and directed by Dana Brown, featuring Mario Andretti, James Garner, and Steve McQueen), The Game of Their Lives (directed by David Anspaugh, starring Gerard Butler), and The Ballad of Jack and Rose (directed by Rebecca Miller, starring Camilla Belle, Daniel Day-Lewis, Catherine Keener, Jason Lee, and Beau Bridges); Regency Releasing's Kabluey (starring Lisa Kudrow, Scott Pendergast, Chris Parnell, and Teri Garr), and Vivere (directed by Angelina Maccarone); Wildcat Releasing's Looking for Palladin (starring Ben Gazzara and Talia Shire), Confessionsofa Ex-Doofus-ItchyFooted Mutha (written and directed by Melvin Van Peebles), and Sandstorm (winner of 29 awards at international film festivals, including 11 for Best Picture; written and directed by Michael Mahonen); the independent film Habana Eva (Best Film winner at the International Latino Film Festival; directed by Fina Torres), and Abel Ferrara's Welcome To New York starring Gerard Depardieu.
Ms. Collins' producing credits include the short film American Dream, and One Week in September: American Family Drive, a documentary film about a grassroots relief convoy formed in the turbulent week after Hurricane Katrina, and co-producer of John Gallagher's multi-award-winning Men Lie. She teaches Motion Picture Public Relations at The School of Visual Arts in New York City, and has served as a juror for the Wasserman Awards at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and the Hamptons International Film Festival.
