Born and raised in New York City, Robert Loggia studied journalism at the University of Missouri before moving back to New York to pursue acting. He trained at the Actors Studio while doing stage work. From the late 1950s he was a familiar face on TV, usually as authoritative figures. Loggia also found work in movies such as The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965), Ông Trùm Mặt Sẹo (1983) and Trở Thành Người Lớn (1988). Always in demand, Loggia worked until his death, at 85, from complications of Alzheimer's.
