- He was considered for the role of James Bond in Sống Và Hãy Chết (1973). The older and more famous Roger Moore won the role instead. He later portrayed Kristatos, the main villain in the James Bond film Riêng Cho Đôi Mắt Em (1981) opposite Moore.
- According to John Glen's memoirs, Julian Glover was the first person to suggest Pierce Brosnan as a potential Bond in 1980, during the filming of Riêng Cho Đôi Mắt Em (1981).
