Heartwarming, funny, relatable, well acted and written.

The Upside (2017)
Very enjoyable and heartwarming.
Great acting and strong dialogue overcomes the predictable story.
Very touching. Well done.
The critic who scored it a 12 out of 100 has no soul.
Blackbeard's Ghost (1968)
A I loved it as a kid.
Wife and I watched it tonight. Still a lot of fun. Great kid's movie still. And I still laughed a number of times.
You need to watch it with 1960's Disney Eye's.

The Replacements (2000)
Don't think too hard, just enjoy.
Preposterous, but it is absolutely a blast.
Several scenes make the movie. Jail scene was worth the price of admission.
Don't take it too seriously or look for flaws. Critics are idiots.
Jack Reacher (2012)
Cruise makes a Good Jack Reacher
Entertaining. Does a good job with the book.
Who cares if Cruise is much shorter than Reacher is in the book. He is still plays a great badass.
I love the books. Really like the movie. There are always haters.
Bubba Ho-Tep (2002)
Hilariously ridiculous.
They need to develop an Oscar for such roles. Bruce Campbell was excellent.
Totally ridiculous, but laugh out loud funny.
If you take your movies seriously, you won't like this movie.
The Year of Living Dangerously (1982)
Terrific film
Acting was brilliant. Very gripping movie that stuck with me for days.
Patrick (2018)
Charming but Flawed.
Could have been better, but amusing. Charming, but predictable.
Well acted. Lead actress did fine, given what she had to work with.
Murder Mystery (2019)
Enjoyable with some good laughs.
I quite enjoyed it. Laughed out loud a number of times.
First 45 minutes were quite good. It got a bit preposterous after that, but no more so than most murder mysteries.
I generally dislike almost all of Sandler's movies but he was quite good in this. So was Anniston.
The Christmas Chronicles (2018)
Kurt Russell is Santa Clause.
Great job by Kurt Russell as Santa. Great character with some hilarious lines.
"I am Santa not Yoda."
The scene in jail is fricken awesome. Every scene with Russell is classic. Sort of a Jack Burton meets Snake Plisken meets Santa.
Only weakness is the elves. A little too cutesy, yet creepy, in my opinion. But, they grew on my a smidge.
To those criticizing the plot, good Lord, it's a movie about a fictional, fantastical and ridiculous legend.
Critics panning this are wrong.
How to Be a Latin Lover (2017)
Stupid, funny and touching.
Don't expect an Oscar winner, but my wife and I laughed out loud a number of times.
All of main actors did very good jobs. Selma Hayek was excellent, and is certainly nice to look at.
I hadn't heard of the lead actor, but he is a hoot.
The plot is obviously contrived, and the ending is somewhat predictable. But, I am a sucker for that. My wife and I both enjoyed it.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012)
Fun.
Don't think to hard and you will enjoy it. Rock is always appealing. Vanessa Hudgens is certainly pleasant to look at. Hutcherson is fine. Michael Caine is always great. Critters need some work, otherwise the scenery is pretty good.
A Bad Moms Christmas (2017)
It had some good laughs.
Mostly preposterous and stupid. But it had several laugh out loud moments. And a few touching moments, if you don't think about the absurd things that brought it that point.
It doesn't deserve 1s or 2s. Those are lazy scores.
Atomic Blonde (2017)
She gives John Wick a run for his money.
Great fight scenes. Confusing plot, but who cares. Theron is awesome and so is McCavoy.
Very enjoyable.
Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010)
Clever concept
Fun take on the teen slasher movies. Several hilarious laugh out loud scenes. If you like Evil Dead movies you will like this.
Pottersville (2017)
Slow and deliberate but entertaining.
Very enjoyable movie. As my header suggests, don't expect action galore or a laugh a minute, far from it. But, it just tickled me.
Carousel (1956)
Wonderfully beautiful uplifting and sad all in one.
I saw this as a teen many years after it came out. The songs were beautiful, performances great. The pain and loss he felt was very moving. And I absolutely fell in love with Shirley Jones.
Just a great movie. Not the typical every thing will work out perfect movie.
Fun Mom Dinner (2017)
Enjoyable movie.
This 60 year old man enjoyed it. It isn't going to win any Oscars, but several laugh out loud moments, and a few chuckles. A sweet, obviously predictable story, but entertaining.
My wife and I both enjoyed it. Some crude humor and language, but that doesn't bother me. All four actresses, and the two husbands all did an excellent job. Some great dialogue with the Dad's and some very sweet and touching moments.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)
Solid movie.
I loved the Fifthe Ekement when I first saw it. It wasn't well received when it first came out. This movie was similarly received. While it is no Fifthe Element, it was impressive in its own right. It will age well.
The leads did a fine job. He isn't a typical looking hero, but that adds to his appeal in my opinion.
The film was gorgeous with some whacked elements. Tons of fun if you just go with the flow. No Science Fiction movie ever makes total sense, or even mostly sense. They can't. Don't even try to figure it out.
I love Star Wars movies, but they are trivial nonsense compared to this flick.
Who's Harry Crumb? (1989)
John Candy Ruled
I loved this movie. I laughed through the entire thing. Candy played a lovable Idiot Savant with the best of them.
I have watched it 5 or 6 times since it came out. Still laugh.
This isn't Shakespeare, but silly well written and well acted fun.
The interplay, and evolving friendship, between Shawnee Smith and Candy was funny and sweet. Annie Potts was perfect as well.
As my other reviews, I am too ADHD to write a real review. If you are a John Candy fan this should not be missed. If you are not, give it a try anyway.
Warehouse 13 (2009)
Sci-fi fun
Very entertaining show. I binge watched it over a few weeks when I discovered it last year.
Actors were well cast, the interactions between them are fun and sometimes touching. The early episodes tend to be better, but all were entertains. If you expect any show like this to make sense, you will be disappointed. The steampunk gizmos were silly but fun. The actress who played Claudia was darling.
I am too ADHD to write a real review, just a general feeling about the show. Well done to all involved.
