X-Ray: Selected Satyajit Shorts (2021)
Utterly garbage. Disgrace
Only 2nd Story was good just because excellent acting of Manoj Bajpai and Gajraj Rao. Rest 3 episodes are utterly disgrace of Film making. It's completely disrespect and injustice of Satyajit Ray's short stories. I am always know that Srijit Mukherjee is a biggest idiot of movie maker and he proved me right every time. I don't know who are the other directors of 2 garbage episodes. They are stigma in the name of movie maker. Netflix must filter this kind of garbage else loose it's dignity.
Searching for Sheela (2021)
Extremely bad
Glorification of criminals are usual practice in bollywood. Worst documentary in Netflix.
JL50 (2020)
Suspenseful
Good combination of mystery and sci-fi. Very good performance by all legendary actors. Well directed . Good cinematography.
Young Wallander (2020)
Excellent and unexpected
Unexpected plot and twists. Extremely well fit of current context of society. Minutely potrait the dark side of society and increasing of NAZI dominated mind with different form and share bidding behind mask.
The Last Narc (2020)
Astonishing
Extremely good and well documented. Well presented. Must watch docu series.
Gulabo Sitabo (2020)
Not for Dumb indian viewer
This movie is not made for dumb indian viewers. This movie is ahead of the time. No body will remember Amitabh for Sholay but definitely will remember for this movie after 10 years. Excellent portrait of minute details of each and every character. Dumb indians stay away from this movie.
Yeti Obhijaan (2017)
Ridiculous
I always feel that Srijit is third grade director in mask of pseudo- intellectual. This movie proved my point. Studying renowned director's book or copying their style won't help him to be a director. Worst movie of the year ( may be Deb's cockpit better than this movie unfortunately). Complete waste of money with a very bad script and camera.
State of Play (2009)
Not so good like TV series
This movie is remake of British TV series with same name. The British TV series far far better than this movie. Heavy casting but a complete garbage. I am expecting better performance from Ben. The movie was trying to separate from movie but they just lost the plot and thrill of a suspense drama. British screenplay was smarter with sense of humour Russell Crow is not fit to a journalist character and the British counter part is far better. The editor's character was a significant in the story but in the movie that role spoiled the whole character. I suggest you to watch TV series instead this bad handled movie. Though the raise American biggest problem war against false terror. The try to shorten the story but added some unnecessary scene like cal chased by assassin.
Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015)
Fabulas direction & cinematography
Another great direction by Dibakar Banerjee. Excellent cinematography and Banerjee has portrayed the situation of world war and Calcutta during that period. It seems that he has done some pretty good research on Bomkesh Bakshi and it's writer Sharadendu. He is actually used the place where writer used to live and write this excellent mystery stories. Dibakar is one of the finest director in this era of Indian film industry. It's a fresh look to get rid from monotonous Hindi love stories and action movies.Must watch movie. The movie set was designed fabulous and casting is perfect as it should be.The dialog timing is intelligent. Sushant sigh rajput and swatika are brilliantly performed their role.
Chalo Let's Go (2008)
Execellent Script
When even I watch anjan dutta's movies or telefilms. One thing always knock mind is excellent script and spontaneous dialogues as well as smart music.Chalo lets go is one of his modern smart movies where he explain human nature when he met around in a trip. All characters in this movie are basically trying to discover their life. Its the movie how they finally discover their life from a trip. the film has a beautiful climax....with nice sound-track from composer Neel Dutt through the entire film.....some exhilarating North Bengal beauty and mostly some natural comedy that was once found at the "gold mine" of old bengali jewels.....and a re-touch of the Satyajit Ray spirit..The reason? you will surely realize if you see this film.
Black Swan (2010)
Nina Sayers (Natalie P) is desperate to get the role of white/black swan and her insecurity turned him to become a split personality to be a perfect performer.
The best performance of Natalie P. As every director want his/her actor/actress to feel deep into the character. As Nina Sayers (Natalie P) was so dedicated that she has grown a split personality. Darren Aronofsky has beautifully directed and portrait human character personality when they are so insecure. Darren Aronofsky is at his boldest heading up Black Swan. His depiction of Nina's struggles as she succumbs to growing pressures from her director, her mother, her rivals, her physical ailments, her personal need for a perfect performance.. it is intense, thrilling, exhausting, and truly gripping throughout. Part of what makes it work is that we are completely along for the ride with Nina. We see what she sees, we experience what she experiences, and sometimes it is truly distressing stuff. I rate this film 8/10.
