A Beautiful Mind (2001)
"Terrified... mortified... petrified... stupefied... by you."
Some people are born with a special gift. They can see the world in a different perspective. They can see, imagine and form things which normal people don't even dare to think. The movie shows us the most intriguing part of a human body- brain can lead to 2 extremes behaviours in humans. The very brain that helps Dr. John Nash to form mathematical equations and formulae to solve problems and discover new theories can also open the door for a new world which only he could experience. The subtle line differentiating imagination and hallucination can be very tricky.
"Imagine if you suddenly learned that the people, the places, the moments most important to you were not gone, not dead, but worse, had never been. What kind of hell would that be?"
A man on one side whose a genius in solving problems using his brain has got entangled his life with a problem with his very powerful weapon of thinking, imagining.
It's shows that not all problems can be solved using the logical thinking of brain. Some solutions come from heart. Dr. Nash suffering from severe mental illness of SCHIZOPHRENIA who is delusional was never left behind by his wife in the times of hardships. It's love that binds is all together and maybe it's love only that can solve the various unsolved mysteries of the world can be solved.
"It's only in the mysterious equation of love that any logical reasons can be found."
Message from the King (2016)
A great movie. RIP KING!
What a great movie. So glad I finally took the time to watch it. Critics wrong again...as usual.
Chadwick Boseman has, now had😥 so much depth with every part he has played, including this one. What a significant loss on so many levels and to so many ppl around the world. Blessings, STRENGTH and Prayers to his family. RIP King....!!!
What a fitting last name.
Saw: Heritage (2016)
An okey achivement for a passion project.
Pros: This movie is very well made and taken serious! The plot is good and very original.
Cons: The lack of budget has affected a lot the overall quality of the film, characters without backstory.
Saw (2004)
something diferent
I absolutely love the Saw movies. Granted, they do get a bit complex in terms of plot and it turns into a soap opera with a side of bloody traps, nothing can beat the original Saw. The moment that you are in the movie, you are thrown into a sense of pure mystery. Not just in terms of how Lawrence Gordon and Adam Faulkner-Stanheight (Played by Cary Elwes and Leigh Whannell) will escape from the bathroom, but also as to who the elusive Jigsaw Killer is (Played by Tobin Bell). Eventually, the movie presents the infamous "Reverse Bear Trap" scene. This is my favorite scene of the movie apart from the twist, mainly because it created the icon of Saw, but also because of the astounding acting for Amanda's character, courtesy of Shawnee Smith. In summary, I recommend this movie to any horror fan who is looking for a departure from the cliche slasher, and to anyone curious about classic movies.
