What's with all the bathroom scenes?
I'm on episode five off the first season, and almost every episode has a scene where a character is using the bathroom (a bit excessive), and yet hand washing is non-existent.

Very good actors
"Birkir's portrayal by Kriston Kolur Kristinsson in 'Happily Never After' is simply captivating! His ability to seamlessly transition between drama and comedy showcases his incredible range as an actor. Birkir's character brings depth and authenticity to the show, drawing viewers in with every scene. Kristinsson's performance is nothing short of brilliant, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to an already fantastic Icelandic series. Bravo!". I really like how cute he is in the scenes, and I found him very funny. I would not listen to the rude and hateful comments, which think the show is over grossed. I would highly recommend the show to everyone. I hope they bring a season 2.
Fantastic foreign series
I loved this series. Genuinely one of the best series I have seen recently. It has been a while since I have been wanting to watch a good family series. No wonder they have won an award. I particularly enjoyed the presence of Birkir played by Kristin Kolur Kristinsson, the kid is a prodigy.
The people rating this series lowly have no sense of cinematography. The only trustworthy evaluations are the ones praising this masterpiece. I have heard that a second season is being released and am excited as ever for a follow-up. I truly wish people learn from this series. Such fine talent shouldn't go unnoticed.

Too long and terrible writing
It was meant to be a drama/comedy but it's just all drama and even weak as such. 6x 45min episodes of a woman in her daily routine after divorce, long boring scenes .....perhaps the worst and writing I have ever seen in major TV show in Iceland and waist of time.

Amazing Acting
This series is a masterclass in comedic and dramatic writing. It is incredibly deep and contains strong messages of independance and exhibits the modernity of life. Each actor gave an amazing performance. The actor that played Birkir was increadibly tranformant. He exhibited amazing talent and perserverance througout his roles.
I have read the comments on this series, and most of them are clueless. Some have said it is overly gross, but these shots are rather artisitc and place more focus on the modernist industrial style of society. They help give a grittyness that was lacking previously and is required to dipict everyday life.
I hope they bring it back for a second season.
