The Bay (2019)
DS Jenn Townsend, Morecambe's new FLO, is thrown in the deep end when a body is found in the Bay on her first day in the job. She must get under the skin of a grieving and complicated family if she has any chance of solving the murder, whilst at the same time proving herself to new colleagues in the MIU. The pressure is multiplied when her new blended family struggle to settle in Morecambe, proving to Jenn that a fresh start might not be quite as simple as moving to a different town.

      The 5th season was announced in May 2023 with filming taking place later in the year.
    • Goofs
      No child would be excluded for two weeks, especially for just a corridor fight; it would be regarded as totally inappropriate and open to legal challenge. The school-less fortnight is a useful plot device, but not at all realistic.

    Amazing score and scenery

    Having watched this drama being filmed in and around Morecambe, last Summer, I was looking forward to seeing how the first episode would look. I wasn't disappointed...the dramatic backdrop of the bay and the brooding soundtrack helped to draw you in. As for the accents...yep...they're northern...but what would you expect to hear.

    Lokking forward to seeing how the characters develope over the coming episodes.
