Actor Patrick Stewart has been known for his roles in Star Trek: The Next Generation and in the X-Men films. The former show made him a global star as his character Captain Picard became the epitome of class leadership and diplomacy. The character was so regarded that the makers approached him again to reprise his role in a spinoff show.
While initially apprehensive, Stewart agreed to return to Star Trek: Picard and starred in the show for three seasons. However, the actor reportedly wanted to rectify one mistake he found himself making in the original show. He mentioned that he made sure his intonation while speaking was not as harsh as in his earlier years.

The acclaimed Hollywood star Patrick Stewart once reflected on Piers Morgan’s CNN exit after his talk show was canceled. Launched in 2011, Piers Morgan Live featured interviews with politicians, celebrities, and public figures. Despite its three-year tenure, the program struggled to resonate with American primetime audiences, leading to its cancellation in 2014 amidst dwindling viewership.

He went on to his own TV series Anything But Love opposite Jamie Lee Curtis, roles in 7th Heaven, Til Death, Blunt Talk and, of course, his long run on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Richard Lewis, the beloved comedian, stand-up comedy all-star, and series regular on Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, has died after suffering a heart attack. He was 76. Lewis’ death was confirmed by his publicist, Jeff Abraham. “His wife, Joyce Lapinsky, thanks everyone for all the love, friendship and support and asks for privacy at this time,” Abraham said.
Richard Lewis’ comedic journey began with dual debuts in the New York and Los Angeles comedy arenas in the 1970s. Mentioned in the same breaths as comedy legends like Andy Kaufman, Richard Belzer, and Elayne Boosler, Lewis’ comedy style was darker and more self-deprecating than his fellow kings and queens of comedy. Not afraid to lampoon his shortcomings, Richard Lewis shared grim comedy about his addictions and bizarre thinking.
Lewis revealed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in April 2023 and planned to retire from his stand-up career.

“Perd Hapley is the lynchpin of an unlikely TV multiverse” is the name of the article you’re reading. And it will begin … right now.
NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation features the deepest bench of hilarious supporting characters you’ll ever see outside of The Simpsons‘ Springfield. But even among a murderer’s row of comedic talent like Joan Callamezzo (Mo Collins), Jean-Ralphio Saperstein (Ben Schwartz), and Tammy II Swanson (Megan Mullally), there’s one resident of Pawnee who stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Local news broadcaster Perd Hapley (Jay Jackson) is quite simply a TV icon. Blessed with a very distinct vocal style (that the Parks and Rec fandom Wiki accurately categorizes as “semantically redundant”), Perd often turns up on Parks and Recreation to help describe what’s happening … literally.

“Every once in a very rare while, you watch some TV show or movie, and it’s so special that you think how lucky you’d be if you got to work with its creator. And rarer still is when you meet them and you can’t believe that they are better than you could’ve even imagined.

There's a saying: just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you. Enter Murray Bauman, a former journalist who has been following the events of Stranger Things very closely, coming to Chief Hopper with all sorts of ideas about Eleven and Barb and a vast government conspiracy over the years. And he's not wrong, though Hopper can't tell him that (at least at first).
Now that we've reached season three and Murray is practically an integral part of the group, it's time to ask: who plays this bearded believer? It's Brett Gelman, one of those quintessential "Hey, it's that guy!" actors.
Gelman got his start doing improv and stand-up comedy in New York City. He quickly developed improv group Monkey D*ck, which went on to be developed into a limited-release TV show for the Upright Citizens Brigade. He also developed a character called Rapzilla for a couple of...

When it comes to assembling an impressive cast, “Fargo” has upped the ante once again.
After announcing that Season 4 would be lead by Chris Rock, FX on Thursday unveiled a bold list of performers who’ll be joining him. Perennial TV/film favorites Ben Whishaw and Jessie Buckley lead the additions to the cast, alongside Jack Huston, Jason Schwartzman, and Andrew Bird.
The official synopsis accompanying these new details describes more of how all these actors fit into place for the new season: “In Kansas City, Missouri, two criminal syndicates have struck an uneasy peace. One Italian, one African-American. Together they control an alternate economy — that of exploitation, graft and drugs. This too is the history of America. To cement their peace, the heads of both families have traded their youngest sons.”

Last year, Counterpart won exactly the number of Emmy Awards it was nominated for – one. Its Main Title Design victory, while deserved, is hardly indicative of its tremendous quality. Starz has struggled generally to find a footing in the non-technical categories, earning only Best Limited Series mentions in the past decade, for The Pillars of the Earth and The White Queen. Golden Globes enthusiasm for Outlander, Boss, and Blunt Talk didn’t translate to Emmy love, and so there’s little hope that Counterpart, which was cancelled back in February by Starz, will break through in the way it should this year.
Season two represented the opposite of a sophomore slump for this sci-fi political thriller. The ideas presented in season one were expanded upon and the show transformed into something completely different.

It should not be a surprise when J.K. Simmons receives a Golden Globe nomination this Thursday morning for starring in Starz’s “Counterpart.” Although he ranks seventh in Gold Derby’s odds, Simmons has several factors in his favor that assure him more for a Best TV Drama Actor nomination than anyone. He is a big name giving a showy performance in a new series with good reviews on a network that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association loves.
Simmons won his Best Film Supporting Actor Globe four years ago for “Whiplash” on his path to collecting the equivalent Oscar. Simmons has boosted his profile in the years since with roles in franchise blockbusters “Justice League” and “Terminator Genisys,” as well as “La La Land,” whose clean sweep of seven Globe wins broke the record for most by a film. Simmons is currently eligible in the Best Film Supporting Actor race for “The Front Runner.

Netflix and BBC will team for a Dracula TV miniseries from Sherlock co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.
Dracula will creep his shadow onto the peak television scene soon enough. Plans from the former Doctor Who mastermind, Steven Moffat, and his co-creator on Sherlock, Mark Gatiss, for a new TV version of Bram Stoker's iconic tome, Dracula, are about to come to fruition.
The Girl in the Spider's Web's Claes Bang will go fang as Dracula himself in the miniseries, a co-production of BBC One and Netflix, set as three 90-minute episodes to air in the UK on the former and stream in the U.S. on the latter. The plan by co-creators Moffat and Gatiss will, according to the official description, “re-introduce the world to Dracula, the vampire who made evil sexy. In Transylvania in 1897, the blood-drinking Count is drawing his plans against Victorian London.

Following the new Stranger Things Season 2 poster that was released this weekend, Netflix has shared a new clip for fans to watch. The clip centers around Mike being questioned by the authorities about Eleven and where she is at, but being the good friend that he is, he won't say anything. As they are talking Mike sees something outside of his window.
We know that Eleven manages to escape from the Upside Down back into the real world, and her escape was highlighted in a previously released clip. It looks like this latest clip teases her reunion with Mike.
Stranger Things 2 premieres on Netflix this week on Friday, October 27th!

Netflix has released the first clip from Stranger Things Season 2! It centers on Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) finding her way out of the Upside Down. There's no doubt that it's going to be good for her to be out of that dark and dank evil place. I imagine that she's going to want to race to get back to her friends.

It's Friday The 13th and as promised, Netflix has released the final trailer for Stranger Things Season 2! As expected, the trailer gives us our best look yet what to expect from Season 2 and the nightmarish journey that awaits our young heroes. It certainly delivers on the awesomeness that we were all expecting!
The trailer is loaded with some exciting and eerie new footage and I can't get over the feeling of nostalgia that it evokes. Damn, the creative team behind this series knows how to connect with me and the rest of their audience. I'm so excited to watch Season 2!

Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer have previously stated that the hit Netflix series would only go to season four and then end. Well, it's looking like plans have changed. The Duffers and producer Shawn Levy are now saying that the series will likely go beyond four seasons, Levy recently told EW:
“Hearts were heard breaking in Netflix headquarters when the Brothers made four seasons sound like an official end, and I was suddenly getting phone calls from our actors’ agents. The truth is we’re definitely going four seasons and there’s very much the possibility of a fifth. Beyond that, it becomes I think very unlikely.”
Look, as long as they have an end game and they get to tell the full story that they set out to tell, that's all that matters. I just don't want to see a bunch of pointless filler episodes in the process.

I imagine that we'll see another trailer for it soon, and I can't wait! It will be interesting to see if they can top the first trailer that was released at Comic-Con.
