Dedeu eogein

I stumbled upon the 2017 South Korean mystery thriller "Dedeu Eogein" (aka "Dead Again") by random chance here in 2022. And seeing it being an Asian movie, of possibly the spooky kind, that I hadn't already seen, of course I found the time to sit down and watch it.

And while "Dedeu Eogein" was watchable, it just wasn't a movie that was outstanding. Sure, the storyline in the movie was entertaining enough for what it turned out to be, I have to say that there are South Korean thrillers and horror movies that far surpass what this movie brought to the table.

The acting performances in the movie were adequate. I can't say that there were any particular performances in the movie that stood out as being outstanding in my opinion. But the actors and actresses did fair enough jobs with the limitations imposed by the script.

Visually then "Dedeu Eogein" wasn't a movie that relied particularly much on special effects. I suppose it was fitting enough, given this being a mystery thriller and not an actual horror movie.

"Dedeu Eogein" is fair enough entertainment for a single viewing, if you have an interest in South Korean cinema. However, you're not in for something spectacular.

My rating of "Dedeu Eogein" lands on a four out of ten stars.
