The movie industry is an industry filled with should have, would have, could have. Projects are constantly blossoming and then dying on the vine. Actors, directors and important crew members are shuffled in and out of projects like a dependable deck of cards. I mean, just think of all the movies you were hyped to see that were suddenly shelved, never to be seen again. Or the movies that were announced and then finally finished years, or maybe even decades, down the line, with a completely new cast and crew. As with everything in life, sometimes things just don't work out. Unless...

A top-secret David Bowie project will soon see the light of day from the mind of Brett Morgen, the director behind “Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck,” “Jane,” and “The Kid Stays in the Picture.” Per Variety, the hybrid film is based on thousands of hours of rarely seen concert and performance footage of Ziggy, who died from liver cancer in January 2016.
Sources told the publication that Morgen has been working on the Bowie film — which has yet to announce a title — for the past four years. A source also said the film is “neither documentary nor biography, but an immersive cinematic experience built, in part, upon thousands of hours of never before seen material.” That’s not unlike Morgen’s 2015 “Montage of Heck,” which blended more traditional documentary elements with expressionistic collages and artwork to explore the life and times of Nirvana frontman Cobain.

Update: After Schitt’s Creek co-creator and star Dan Levy called out Comedy Central India for editing a same-sex kiss out of a Twitter video featured in an episode, a Comedy Central International spokesperson responded by saying that the scene in question was aired in its entirety without edits.
The spokesperson said that there are codes in India which requires broadcasters to be “mindful” of content running during the day. In other words, they need to makes sure its kid-friendly and the promo was shown during child viewing hours on the network’s channels.
The network said that the kiss between the two men was “lingering, close-up and passionate” while the other kisses featured were “fleeting” and a simple peck. Apparently, a passionate kiss like the one Dustin Milligan‘s character Ted and Levy’s David can present an issue whether it is same-sex or not. If this kiss was between a man and a woman,...

Two Africans, an Afghan, and a Syrian walk onto a remote island in Scotland. The punch line potential is infinite. Writer/director Ben Sharrock knows it too as he places them all in the same cramped apartment with a “Refugees Welcome” banner outside so they can argue about the merits of Ross and Rachel’s “break” courtesy of a burned Friends box set left behind by whomever lived there last. Add an eccentric cultural awareness course led by a duo in Helga (Sidse Babett Knudsen) and Boris (Kenneth Collard) who teach sexual harassment by having the former smack the latter’s intentionally handsy dance partner in the face and you’ll find yourself mimicking the class of foreigners watching in stunned silence thanks to the dryly humorous mix of confusion and horror.
Sharrock’s Limbo is very British in this way despite its multi-cultural cast of strangers in a very strange land.

Jenny Gago (Southland) is set for a recurring role on Fox series Deputy, starring Stephen Dorff, from Entertainment One and Fox Entertainment. Written by Will Beall and directed by David Ayer, Deputy is a cop drama that blends the spirit of a classic Western with a modern attitude and gritty authenticity. When the Los Angeles County Sheriff dies, an arcane rule forged back in the Wild West thrusts the most unlikely man into the job: a fifth-generation lawman (Dorff) who’s more comfortable taking down bad guys than navigating a sea of politics. Gago will play the role of Anjelica Reyes, a smart, wise, loving woman who is the mother to Paula (Yara Martinez). Gago is known for her film roles in Mi Familia, Coach Carter, Blood In Blood Out and Nurse Betty. Her TV credits include TNT’s Southland and ABC comedy Freddie. She is co-managed by Karen Forman and Bill Rogin.

Former White House advisor Seb Gorka says he called CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta a “d—head” during a heated verbal clash in the White House Briefing Room on Thursday.
According to Gorka, who is now a Fox News contributor and Salem Radio host, the argument erupted after Acosta questioned why he was there.
“So, I’m minding my own business right at the entrance of the White House briefing room on the inside,” Gorka told radio host Mark Levin. “And suddenly the door opens and in prances Jim Acosta… He grabs me by the arm, and says ‘You shouldn’t be here, this place is for real journalists.'”

Tribute sputtered out of the gate with a main storyline that even the characters admit we have all seen before. It also serves to remind us of how ridiculous it is that anyone in Star City ever bought that the Hood and the Green Arrow were separate vigilantes – I mean come on, the suits weren’t even that different. On the positive side, this episode set up or built upon several points of conflict between Oliver and people who are fundamentally good (or at least not evil), which will likely be richer in the long run.
Oliver is cleared but Agent Watson isn’t convinced. We finally have Bruce Wayne’s name being dropped,...
